  1. Not sure about lakers but a handful of boats including us at the north end out of Penn Yan all catching perch in good numbers. Saw a boat with trout gear going out as we were coming in. Not sure how they did.

must have been me and buddy his boat is a islander we went 4 for 4 lake trout mark lots of fish but tuff bite

  2. when you say top line I think you talking about the main line . I use 50 lb braid to the first bead chain and same line between beads chains the last bead chain to the coastal snap swivel I use 30 lb mono for a brake away . I just got a spool of bulk wire thinking  about changing one rod to it to try it out  but did all three rods has  new braid last year . I been out on a another guys boat and his rods were lead core for main line mono between beads chains the blow back on the line were way to much for me

  3. another gismo to play with . I got one from e bay for 2/3 of the price . tells how much blow back I got on the riggers tells where my dipsy  diver runs , lead cores run . and you can find the temp brake is if you don't have a  probe to use

  4. This is correct. I have run Fish Hawk units for many years on many different boats. If we are talking transducer interference the only situation I have run into is the 'bird 83hz transom mount  transducer can interfere depending on placement. I have not had any issues with any 50/200 transducers whether thru hull or transom mount. There are some differences in transducer placement depending on whether the boat is an outboard, inboard, or I/O.

I put a lowrance  elite 5 chirp sonar in last fall . I got interference on the fish hawk when on chirp work fine on 200/83 side of transducer  how can I stop the interference while the sonar is on chirp  the transducers  are on opposite side of each other

  8. left dock at 6 am set up in 125 flow probe rigger at 65 fish hawk read 47 for temp 2.2 for speed with wonder bread mag spoon hit a small king on that set up . around 170 flow next fish came on a dipsy rod out 240 0n 3 setting with spin doc chrome green dot with hammer fly landed a 22# king in 230 flow didn't mark much fish or bait fished out to 400 flow and back to 125 flow pick up at noon had very little fleas. at cleaning station some guys had 1 to 2fish tops cant find a bait shop open in the morning any more larry's or screwy louies could not get cut bait

  9. so I been fishing the big lake ( Ontario ) with not much  luck for us. my buddy and I went to keuka lake this morning hit the water at 6 am ran to the south about 2 miles down from state park . set up with the seth greens the sonar was filled with marks top to bottom not a laker to be had same old luck round 9 am hit our first fish we were bucking into the wind so I could not come off the wheel no biggie my buddy is a pro with the seth green rod brings the fish to top grabs the net starts pulling the leader the fish was on. didn't the fish get into the kicker with a prop guard on it ( tail first ) stalled the kicker I jump on the I/o before the wind turned  us round he lifts up kicker 7 lb laker stuck in prop lol takes spoon out of jaws then the fish. yes we had sushi . he starts putting leaders back down, throws whole leader and spoon to the fish gods same old luck lol we pick up one more laker in doing so his hat blows off into the lake same old luck . that was it we quit went back to ramp talk to one other guy said had no luck .
