You might want to try a wire line knot on the riggers. I started using it since i saw it on the fish doctor web site. Haven't had a problem with a knot since i switched over.

I have the X4 and my down speed is off by nearly .5mph. I did what adam suggested by running a thumper rod to figure it out. I know that luhr jenson dodgers don't start to kick until 2.6-2.7 and at that speed my X4 would read 3.1 to 3.3. Hope this helps.

your right adam, with these winds things are changing daily. 75 to 90 has been good out of mexico for awhile now. It wouldn't take long to check the inside water before pushing out. I know i have made the mistake more than once of driving past the fish and wasting time in unproductive water.

Anyone selling tickets closer to pulaski? I didn't hear or see anyone selling derby tickest at the lsrc. It would be nice not to have to make the trip to fair haven.

This is a set of older riggers that came off my boat i bought just last season. They are in working order, just a little slower than i like and do not have short stops. Was going to keep them for spares but they have sat in my garage since i bought the boat and see no point in letting them just sit there. They come with bases one of which is a swivel base and i do have one 4 foot boom that can go with them. Only problem with the 4 foot boom is the screw that went into it was snapped off and needs to be drilled out, easy fix on the boom. First 300 bucks takes them.
