Thanks for all the great info. Now I just need to pick the unit that fits our needs and wallet. It seems line hummingbird or lowrance are the big players in my price range. I fish canandaigua lake mostly so I would like this lake map loaded in the unit.

We are looking to upgrade our fish finder this off season and looking for some advice. We are looking a unit that has gps so that we can mark fish and has our speed. We do not have down temp so need accurate speed on unit is important. Would also like a unit with the ability to load the lake maps into it. Any suggestion out there? Looking to spend between 400 and $600. Thanks

Also we had lots of bait and marks all over the bait. Ran thru and pop.

We were running on surface between 2.2 and 2.7. We do not have down temp probe. We ran mediums size spoons 30 feet back with sliders. Almost all fish came off a stinger limon glow on bottom with black and lime green spots glow on slider. Bows and smallie came off slider.

Fished from 6 to 10:30 this am and went 10 for 12. Got 2 bows. 1 smallie and rest were lakers. Biggest laker was 6.5. Found the fish in 70 fow. 60 down. One of the best days I have had on the lake. Finally some success.

Thanks les. I tried running smaller spoons and ran the boat at 2.4. Still caught only laker so there might be a good current down there. I would think at 2.4 to 2.6 the bows would be hitting

Went out last night from 6:30 to 8 in front of pump house and caught 2 lakers. Fish were in. 65 fow 55 down. Finally some life. Used smaller spoons and green in color like a frogger. Thanks for previous reports. Good luck.

That's a tough day on the lake. I fished the same area and also had no takers. I switched to pulling copper in 55 fow and caught 4 lakers in an hour. Not sure why they won't hit the riggers. Good luck and keep after them.

Fished black point to Seneca point this am trolling down riggers and dipseys. No takers till 8. Then I switched over to pulling copper and caught 4 in and hour and turned two more. Nothing beats pulling cooper. Not sure why I can't get them to hit on riggers. At least some fish came in the boat. All lakers.

Any new fishing reports out there. I gave the lake some rest and hit lake O last Sunday caught 4 total including a 13 pound brown and 21 pound king. It was a good day. Any news would be helpful. Thanks
