    Port Bay Perch

I would take crappie over perch any day. You had a heckuva day!
  3. It is hunting season now. Don't know if I will have time to try for them again. I remember in days past. before the gobies got bad, those perch would be staged in the middle of August and you could catch them non stop no matter where you were. Water temps were certainly not 65 degrees them. The perch were there and biting hard. It seems like the more gobies in the lake, the less perch in the bay. Anyone else see the same thing?
  4. I guess 65 degrees surface temp was not the ticket either. Quite a few boats were out trying for them today. I dd not catch any and did not see anyone else catch any. Temp was 63.
  5. Thanks for all the reports guys! I am sure a lot of us are waiting with "baited" breath.
  6. The temp showing on my hummingbird was 68 not 58 on Sunday afternoon. Only caught perch in the one spot and as I said they were probably resident bay perch.
  7. I think the water temp was 58. I saw lots of people trying in the usual perch spots but no one catching any. I caught a few but I don't think they were the ones that come in from the lake. It is really strange because a few years ago the perch were in the bay a lot earlier. My daughter called it the 1 2 3 spot because if you threw a line in, you only had to count to 3 and start reeling and there would be a nice perch. It is not that way this year yet
  8. I used to fish black creek at the river regularly. You would not catch a walleye until 30 minutes before dusk and then there would be good action. Too many snages there now so I dont bother but in passing by on Scottsville rd, I see people fishing there regularly. There is a very nice small state boat launch there if you want to launch something under 16 feet and fish the creek. Lots of northerns, smallies, and walleyes in it.
  9. I had caught a nice pike at Ibay a couple weeks ago and then saw an even bigger one swimming around with his head out of water like that. I thought he might have been wondering what happened to his little brother
  10. I am located in Rochester, NY. My girlfriend has said she would get me a trip for a birthday present. I would like to do this trip this year. Does Waterwolf have two boats or two captns? Thanks Frank
  11. I am north of 50 years and it would be the pinnacle of my fishing career to boat a legal muskie. Who would you try to book a trip with for the best chance at getting one on either Niagara or the St. Lawrence? Please don't be shy or humble about replies. All replies are appreciated. Thanks Frank
