    Lake O

I remember those days too. Anybody that could hold a rod could get a limit of bass there. Used to be a regular armada out there. You could start seeing the sunlight reflecting off the boat windshields before you got to Webster pier. Hedges and Sodus point are like ghost towns now. When I hit the lake, I am gonna try trolling for them above the gobies.
  2. Sorry I dont have a picture but it is a swimming jig. About 3/8 ounce black coated head with a concave lip that goes around the botton of the back of the jig head. Jig has hair or feathers. The kicker is it has a 2nd hook attached to the first through the eye. that second hook has the same color hair and feathers. On the retrieve it will have constant undulating motion that was irresistable to pike. Anyone know what is is and where to get some? I have seached internet and cant find it. Thanks
  3. What a fish! Fish of a lifetime!
  4. Thanks to each and all for suggestions but it was the solenoid. I replaced that and the starter did what it was supposed to do. I think I will keep the new starter on and be proactive because the engine is a 2003 with lots of hours on it and to put the old one back on might be working with borrowed time. Will be back on the water this evening.
  5. No starter is not budging. Going to double check battery by connecting fully charge battery jumper on it when I get home. If it is not that, I am told it is probably starter solenoid. Called boat places and found one. Have to try to troubleshoot it myself because boat places are all full. 3-6 weeks to get it looked at
  6. Thanks for all the help guys! Have had my battery jumper charging all night and will try that and possibly test solenoid when I get home. In the meanwhile I am gonna to try to call Barretts to see if they can get me in if need be. Called Barretts and they are talking about 6 weeks to get in there.. Geez.
  7. Just had boat in for complete service at end of last season. Last weekend was fishing and starter started to act up up. It would start the boat and then stop. Finally nothing. Turn key to start and get a click and that was it. Tried a few more times and starter started to chug a few times and then stopped. Could not get the starter to do anything. Turn the key and nothing but a click. Am sure it is not the battery. Power trim will move engine up and down. Bought an aftermarket starter that fits the engine and put that in had fingers crossed. Turned key and click nothing. Anyone know where I can take it to try to get it fixed. My dealer is talking about two weeks to get it in. I sure dont want to go that long without the boat. Will take it to where ever within 75 miles of Rochester. If I can get it worked on and get back in the water. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
  8. Congrats on another super catch. I am sure they have them in Conesus like that but they sure are hard as hell to catch!
  9. Yep. It was you John. I had taken a vac day from work in order to get a good nap in order to fish. We gave it a good shot. Walleyes must have had lockjaw. I am gonna stay after them but maybe not so late at night unless you or someone else has a report that they have turned on.
  10. Went out Fri night at 10 and fished til 3:30. No eyes. Trolled and casted. If alewives we caught were eyes, we would have had a limit. Saw one other guy out there and he said he had not caught any either. Wondering if there is a fundamental difference between the two lakes besides the fact that Otisco has trout and Conesus does not.
  11. First thing I did was ask person that answered the phone on the service side. They did not know. Mechanics always have the answers but person that makes appts more often than not cant answer a specific question like where is fuse box if any on a boat they sold and have done all service on since it was bought new there. I will get the circuit tester and try to see if I can get issue resolved asap. I dont have any other problems except this electrical problem which is only a problem at night. Thanks to each and every one of you who have had a suggestion!
  12. Is there a centralized location for fuses? My running lights and all the console switch lights have stopped working. Dealer says I am looking at two weeks to get an appt. Anyone have any idea where/how to check this out. Would appreciate any help. Thanks Frank
  13. Nice walleye. Did you go all the way up to the island?
  14. Sorry missed the attachment. Here it is.
  15. Since you mention pike. A buddy sent me picture of one they got yesterday.. I hope he does not mind, if I put it up.
  16. Good Luck John. Hope you slay em! I am planning to give it a go again on Saturday
  17. Nice Justin. Looks like you are back in your groove.
  18. I hate to have to ask but I dont want to miss out on something that could help me out on the water. What is an impeller used for? Thanks Frank
  19. Have been to that launch a few times and it never looked like that. gives me a good idea of what all that rain has done. You sure got a pretty boat though! Looks you really have it set up nice!
  20. I know of Teds right there at North end of Conesus. He has a real nice place and is a great guy with good info. Are there any closer to Honeoye? There used to be a place just on the other side of 20A on the other side of 37 but he closed.
  21. Very nice. Anybody would be mighty happy to get those. thanks for the post and pictures. It gives us hope. Conesus is a hard hard lake to pull walleye out of.
