  1. The fish are shallow right now. In a month or so they get much more active in the deeper spots., These were from last summer on a good night trolling stickbaits.

Fished all day today on the south end of Canandaigua for perch and only caught 2 rock bass. If you're looking for perch, go to Lake Erie.

Is it possible you just had a bad day/fish weren't biting, or you were in the wrong spot? I've gotten skunked too but you can't say the whole lake is dead from one experience...Asking for a friend.

Fished on I-Bay this evening with a friend. Caught my first eye from the bay around 5 pm. It was a nice evening to be out. My friend landed a monster 33 inch catfish as well. Thanks for leaving a few Devo and for sharing some of your knowledge on this forum. Good start to build on.

Good job Stillwater !  What did you get it on?

  4. That's all good info right there. There's a good population of walleye in the bay and all of the above methods will catch them. We like trolling with worm harnesses and stick baits. Casting harnesses in the shallows is an overlooked style also.

    Thanks for contributing!

    ...Thanks for the complement Brian.

We picked up four last evening in a couple hours, J. got this one that was over 8lbs! All fish were returned for another day.
