  1. Just returned from finger lakes where we spent last 4 days hunting redheads and canvasbacks y
  2. March can offer some of the best near shore fishing of the year with little competition as long as the ice is gone. I love fishing this time of the year. All alone on Lake O. Sounds like the beginnings of a new song. PS forget the big boats and go light and small.
  3. Wide open and you don't have to pay..................
  4. light lines 8-10# in fluorocarbon with barrel swivel. In line boards are the stealthiest for 5-6 ft water. We used to use trolling motors cutting the engines out 100 yds and using the trolling motor to get you in close and then threw Rapala floaters black/silver 2.5 inch with a little split shot to obtain distance. Looked for stained water off creek mouths and swamps overflowing banks into lake. Lately I have used Goby lures trolled in close to shore flat lined back 200' off corners and creek mouths this time of year. Go online and look for warmest surface temps and troll those areas. If you use inline boards you must use mono to keep from releasing lines on every fish. Look west of Mexico boat launch all the way along the shore to nine mile. Don't stay in one place if no fish. Move!!!!!!!
  5. We are providing guide service for Spring snow goose hunts in Northern NY. We hunt areas along the lake Ontario plains in Jefferson County as well as the tug Hill region south of Watertown. Thousands of Snow geese are now migrating thru this flyway. Our spread consists of 1000 windsock decoys, rotary decoy machines and flyers. We utilize 2 electronic callers. Rates are reasonable and we hunt from fields utilizing Avery Layout Blinds. Check out our website at stlawrenceriveroutfitters.com
