  2. So I have a 19ft gls and hopped aboard my buddies 19ft islander. Kinda fell in love, I'm considering putting my boat up for sale to possible get a 22ft islander. I'm sure there someone with an opinion? Even the 19ft islander was wider than my gls. It's not as multi species like an open bow but figured I see if anyone has any experience? Thanks!

  3. I fished sixberry which is right around the corner from millsite and caught a couple landlocks using 2-3 ounce bottom bouncers 5ft leaders with bright colored small spinners like mepps bout 100ft back trolling. I was told that in millsite towards the farthest island ice fisherman would pile old Christmas trees where it's extremely deep then jig in the summer. My second time there DEC stopped me at the launch when I had a 15hp four stroke Yamaha (10hp limit) nice guy but stopped that quest.

  4. So I'm not sure if its just good advertising but I went to get the LOU app on my iphone... And pop there's my face! Guess its time to upgrade to pro lol. Thanks Lou... I love ya!

  5. Bought like a 20pk at the dollar store and spray painted orange, lost a few over the season but still have tons left. Also just wanted to say I used the plans to make a homemade planner mast and boards and after a couple uses feel like McGuiver... And saved a couple hundo on much needed fishing investment.

  6. So I have a 19.5 sea nymph gls and just picked up a 70lb minn kota and usually use 2 batteries on my main, kicker plus lights and FF, and now looking at adding another 2 batteries for a (24v) trolling motor. My question is if four batteries is overkill on a 19ft boat and if I should just buy a starting battery for my main a kicker and just use 3 batts altogether. Just seein if anyone's been there

  7. Stick to a four stroke, save the extra money, buy a manual start Nissan if budget is an issue, I found a used 98 Honda 9.9 for $700 couple years ago, don't bother with it because if anything major is wrong say 5 trips from now your looking at what you spent on it for repairs and will never get half back if u upgrade. I've had it happen before. 2 strokes are fatal. Fishing a money pit, save where you can lol
