  6. rez, i was out on lake O yesterday 2/10/12. i was fishing out of my 175 mirrorcraft with a 90 merc. there was no waves but 4 to 6 foot rolers left over from the west blow thursday. we had no problems fishing it at all, you will be fine in july. as with any size boat on the big lake you just have to watch the weather. dont forget depending were your fishing out of you will have the fingerlakes within 30 mins to a hour drive, if you get blown off. i fished out of sodus yesterday and limited out on browns. one was 12.5 lbs. if you have any questions about cayuga lake fishing for a back up i live there and will help any way i can. feel free to contact me. sam
  7. i am interested whats your location
  8. hit the water at about 6pm from deans. headed south to the shell. fished over 350fow with riggers at 90 and 100, wires 220 and 280 and two 10 colors. gotta love the three rod rule. we took 2 lakers and two bow all about 4 lbs. the 2 lakers came on a blue and white randr down 100 and both bows came on a purple pooh bear copper back stinger on free sliders with the ball at 90. not bad for 2 hours of fishing. it gets dark too early now.
  9. fished long point to sheldrake in the am. stayed out in 300-380 fow. boated 5 small LL and 2 lakers, both over 7 lbs. purple and pink spoons took all fish but one. nothing on flasher flies. nothing on 10 color. we pulled up at 10:30, just as the rain started. it was too late as we got soaked. i was fishing out of my fathers 17' mirrorcraft which has no canvas b/c mine is still in the shop. on the way back to deans we had to slow down b/c rain was so heavy. when we did i looked around the boat and noticed my 14 month old lab was missing. we turned and searched back and forth for 20 mins and could not find him. he is black and would blend in with the chop on the water. i was sick. i shut the boat off for the third time to call for him and he finally climbed out from the shelf under the dash of the boat. the only dry place we had. i was never so relieved in my life.
  10. all it take for auto pilot is about 1200 dollars and a few hours. yes you can get it for outboards. that being said its worth the time and money, even when fishing with other. most of my friend cant drive a boat in a straight line.
  11. if you can follow 89s and launch at deans cove. fish south of there in 250-300 fow. 30-70 down. green and orange spoons working good.
