Most people have that issue, it's easy to catch them when you're on top of them.

+5-700$ for a nice gps/ff and a enough for rod holders
-
There are a lot of nice used boats out there that will fit the bill nicely and leave money left over for rigging.
-
No experience but if the reviews aren't great I certainly wouldn't be spending my money on one.

yes keep all the legal bass you can from honeoye, there are wayyy too many

jigging with plastics, don't own a tip up

I've got one of the okuma copper rods for a 300 copper rod but I think it's a bit overkill for most fingerlakes fish.

Sounds like a waste

I'd want a camera if I was marking fish that I couldn't get to bite. I'd never be without a flasher though

-
If you are looking at the graph style and don't need Gps, look at the marcum lx6.

Just a heads up, Arctic armor isn't USCG approved so you still need a proper pfd, however they are still nice to have.

I launched with my front wheel drive Saturn, you'll be fine.

When I fish cold weather I launch using my neoprene chest waders then just put on my waterfowl bibs or ski snowpants and either my duck parka or ski jacket. Either will keep me warm and block wind/rain/snow. Moisture wicking base layers are crucial. I also like to wear my life jacket under my jacket, easier to move around in for me.

I've caught em on a white senko on a regular jighead, lakers aren't very pick though. I'm sure dropshotting would work but a regular jighead is probably an easier and more effective method

regular size dipsey on 30# powerpro back 140 on a 1.5 setting, regular sized stinger spoon glow color. Rod holders are the cabelas quick draws and cradle styles. They work well for my student budget. Ramp was wide open, and they usually plow it when it snows as well

iceshanty.com make 3 posts then you can check the reports and conditions for all of ny

Freshwater- trolled a dipsy with a spoon, stick bait on an inline board and a spoon on lead core. Then jigged with a jig and plastic Ended up 1/3 with one small lakers and 2 other hits on the dipsey. Gave up trolling because the leaves and debris were a pain. Jigged for about an hour and got 2 big smallmouths 5-6# and another 6-7# laker.
And wayne, the coldwater reels aren't worth the money in my opinion, The counter on this one only works when going out and if you change the drag setting you have to pull some line out in order for the new tension level to kick in. I have cheap magda pro's and cabelas depthmasters that I have more faith in.
Elite 7HDI or HDS 5?

Have read a lot of bad things about the first elite 7's that came out. They've probably worked out the glitches by now though
