  1. Setting up a new ride and am looking for adjustable diver rod holders for the gunwale. I would prefer 3 on a side, however with a track type system, I can always add a third, if there was a good price for 2 per side set up. I had berts on my last boat... I am not personal tied to berts or cannon or big Jon’s, but I do like the sturdier systems, and if possible want the ratchet ones, but again, could do without for the right price. If I could buy new, I would.... but that will come in time, if anyone has anything, let me know.... I’m picking up boat in a week.

Feel free to text me pics and messages as well. 315-604-2443.

  2. The water level is much higher now than it was last year and the year before.  I believe we are 9" above last year on this date.

Just what I was going to say Brian....
    4-1-16: 246.18
    4-1-17: 246.34
    4-1-18: 245.79
    4-3-19: 246.19
    Current 4-3-20: 246.94
Here is the data from NOAA tides and currents buoy data.
Highest it’s been for beginning of April

  3. I am 99.9% sure it’s a fall fish. Look at the scales and more specifically zoom in on the mouth, which as a very pronounced rounded bite. And compare to picture of a fallfish attached. Color, fins, scales and mouth... Adjustments.JPG

  4. Then I think the appropriate response from LOU community is to not sign up for the LOC anymore. I have become increasingly frustrated with how it’s changed and the way to get change in an economic event, is to not buy the product, send a message that it’s not what the ‘consumer’ wants and see if we are heard. If we keep paying them money, then we are sending the message (actions speak louder than words) that while we don’t like it, we accept.

  5. I don't know if the person that stole these would be crazy enough to post them online, such as Craigslist, but that is exactly what occurred a couple of years ago to my friend whose copper rods and divers were stolen at I-Bay.  They ran a sting and actually nabbed the thief at the exchange.  It took a couple of days for the items to be posted, but maybe keep an eye out for them.

  6. Thank you everyone that has responded. Let me clarify a couple of things... when I stated planer boards, I should have stated, like Super Ski’s, not in-line church boards (etc). My super ski’s that I used to run folded down for storage and took up less space ( IMHO) than my buddies Otter boards. I also heard concerns that plastic cracked too easily ( downriggers weights rolling into them, stepped on, etc) or just get brittle in the sun (it is plastic) and don’t last like the super ski’s did. I have also heard mixed reviews on otter boards diving in heavy seals, where I never saw that with my super skis. But I liked that in calm waters, otter boards seemed to swing further 75 degrees out to the side, then the super ski’s that sat at more of a 45-60 degree angle from the stern of the boat. Speed and wave dependent.

  7. Bikinibottom, we need a lot more information.  Length? Beam?   You say its an 83 repowered, but what engine is in it?  Gas tank size?  Boat looks in great condition, maybe some more pics of interior...etc?
