  2. Tradman… from what I am understanding there is a problem with the messages or messaging App inside the LOU website, so feel free to text me or call me at 315-604-2443. I know you said you were going to look if you had a second card. Jason Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  6. HB2... Obviously there are frustrations running on both sides and as a human, I get there are opinions and emotions and we can’t possibly understand the intricacies of trying to find middle ground for ALL parties involved. With that being said, I first and foremost and believe the fishermen here would agree, don’t want flooding, so lower is better than higher. Except for the know reason of improving wetlands, but we haven’t seen any data to show or confirm that this maybe working. Only asking because it appears that as water levels this winter went lower, and it was seen that snow pack and icing (which prevents lakes evaporation) was definitely less, the IJC increased flows thru about mid March (if I remember correctly, as I didn’t go back this second and verify again) and then it appeared to us the lake was too low when you started to slow outflows and we saw some lake increase. All most of us know as boaters only... myopically looking out for ourselves that many of us couldn’t launch boats. Some people have trailerable boats and could find a port, some like me, have larger boats that need to be lifted or heavy loaders to launch and at the time on Sodus Bay only 1 launch was deep enough to take larger boats and it wasn’t my marina. So many were searching for places and gas docks in many places were in excessible for gas because it’s still so low, there are a few, but still.... we are all trying to live and understand how decisions are made, why the plan had to be changed (except for wetlands) and is there a better way for a path forward? We don’t know, we just know as “the lake guys” we launch early (my boat was APRIL 2nd) and normally I stay in til end of October. Will we even have enough water by end of summer to get boats OUT, let alone keep fishing? There are plenty of shoreline communities that also rely on tourism and boats for their short season of revenue and I don’t think the pandemic has helped. Maybe a suggestion is a much more aligned monthly newsletter of exactly WHAT AND WHY things are done and calculated and measured and and and. Hard for humans to not question, if things aren’t articulated for why decisions may be being made. Just my humble observations. For what it’s worth. 9. Yeah, mine is off the Rochester bouys data from the NOAA tides and currents portion of the website I visit. I downloaded the last 10 years to see daily averages. One or two days can easily go up or down based on wind and even a quick thaw or large rain. But the fact that it’s going out quicker than coming in for first 2 months worries me... not for spring, but lake season lake levels. We shall see... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Thick red line is current 2021 year to date daily average water level Thick black line is 10 yr ave 2011-2020 Other thin lines are each of the last 10 years. It does concern me that A) it’s low... B) it’s dropping not rising. Yes, a couple of other years it was also like this and hopefully it will rebound much the same. Just given the latest IJC plans, normally they are piling water up for spawning grounds, and in a winter without a lot of snow so far, surprisingly they seem to have let a lot flow out. 11. Well, I am slightly concerned Brian..... normal should be high 245.8-246 above sea level and we are a foot behind that, a lack luster winter snow, so I don’t see a huge melt /run off coming and unless we get rains, can/will they bring/allow the lake level up or will they be too worried about past levels and downstream (Montreal) flood worries if lake is high and they can’t discharge quick enough. I would like to see it higher by now, not worried if this was January, but I am watching it closely. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. Agree on the mix, but elaborating... Mix of size on either Spindoctor or Flasher Mix of Color of fly Mix of leader length from flasher back to fly Mix of speed Ps: my best combo, white Pearl glow spindoctor with a-Tom-mik mirage fly, 20” +/- an inch, Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. I also have spare parts, as I took 4 of them off a boat I boat last year. Message me if interested. I’m in Rochester, NY area if that helps as well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. ... So Krenzer’s is brokering it for a guy on Sodus Bay. I have talked to Rick Hijecki about the boat, as I was looking for that size range this spring... (I settled on a 270 Amberjack from Michigan) but the boat is definitely well cared for. My buddy that I fish with has a 25’ Rampage that I love to fish on, so I knew I liked the boat and how it handles and rides in waves to 4-6’.... not that you want to always be out in that. However, with all that being said, the boat has been on the market since ~ March and he has dropped the price from $46k (I believe) but I still think it’s not worth $39k. My opinion. But ya never know what someone will take until you make them an offer. Personally I think the boat is worth $30k... plus or minus.... but I have not actually crawled into it. So never know. 18. Well you hit the nail on the head, there is already enough BS. However, I swear I see idiots all the time on the water when they shouldn’t, regardless of solo or many... Sodus Pro/Am too many times. Lol. I just see the failure in the system and solo doesn’t seem to make a difference.... anyone fishing alone can find another ticket person to ‘witness’ for them, unless it’s a winner and concern of lie detector. If the goal is catching fish, and it’s a month long thing, not sure why fishing alone or with 10 people makes a difference. I agree rules are rules for now.... but like Laker and steelhead rule changes, they do sometimes like to change things! 🤬[emoji23]🤪 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Brian, i disagree with this statement in a carte blanc manner. Many days and many people can fish on that lake alone. I go out 20 times alone, yes my boat is bigger and I have autopilot and I know and respect the lake, but given the amount I fish over the course of all of July, I think at minimum the summer derby should be allowed solo if not all of them. If the person at a weigh station is properly trained, they can tell a fresh fish from one that isn’t. I know the spring people need to be more weather and water temp cautious, but a lot of people are capable of fishing alone. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  21. SOLD Selling 1989 Custom Haul Tri-Axle boat trailer. Has 6 new tires and bearings assemblies as of May 12, 2020. Held a 27’ Sea Ray w/10’ beam and weighing 8000lbs I purchased the boat on the west side of Michigan, had 6 new tires and all 6 bearings replaced and hauled it back 700+ Miles to Sodus Bay, NY. Trailer is now just a yard trailer as boat is slipped at marina and can just as easily go onto jacks for winter. Pics with boat from May are just for reference. Call Jason at 315-604-2443 or message me for more information. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United SOLD!
  22. Thanks man, i will let you know. A friend at my dock said he has an extra one, but will keep you in mind. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Bought a boat, has the fish hawk 840 head unit and transducer, and it’s reading surface temp and speed fine, didn’t come with a probe, wondering if anyone has a working 840 probe they want to sell??? I know In a year or two I will upgrade, but money went into boat for this year.... lol Let me know Jason Cell number 315-604-2443.... live in Fairport, boats in Sodus, Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. I do have room. I have used pedestal based and track based rod holders. What do you have? You can text me the pics or post here... your choice Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. Setting up a new ride and am looking for adjustable diver rod holders for the gunwale. I would prefer 3 on a side, however with a track type system, I can always add a third, if there was a good price for 2 per side set up. I had berts on my last boat... I am not personal tied to berts or cannon or big Jon’s, but I do like the sturdier systems, and if possible want the ratchet ones, but again, could do without for the right price. If I could buy new, I would.... but that will come in time, if anyone has anything, let me know.... I’m picking up boat in a week. Feel free to text me pics and messages as well. 315-604-2443.
