were you in the lund?
-
fished about the same time and we went 4 for 6 all browns... all in the harbor area along the walls and all before 10 am... did not have a rod fire from 10 to 2
-
wish me luck hahaha... may be awful this morning

if you are targeting lake trout have you tried the spinner and peanut combo? deadly
-
37 mins? thats nuts.. the only way I can see me breaking off is if I have to really put the breaks on them because we run out of line on the spool.. I only run about 160 yards of line on my reels

I don't know if I would risk my boat for some fish.... it hasn't been great out there anyway.... went out Sunday and went 12-16 and again yesterday on 3-15 and we went 12-14 on the browns. And I did listen to advice about running 10lb leaders for browns and lost 3 monsters... I am sticking with my 20lb leaders and getting the fish to the boat. Good luck with you decision... I have an outboard and not too worried about it.
HAve you thought about using longer or lighter rods?
I use 10lb line on the salmon river on fresh kings and land 35lbers in current... I cant see how you can break off trout that easy using 10lb.... use rods with more bend and let the rods do the work

is it worth doing a couple passes in the harbor area? maybe pick up a steelhead?

fished the south end out of treman last weekend and the fish were just not ready... water temps on 37 even in the dirty water.. not sure if this week would warm it up enough yet or not

So I am under the impression that wrights landing is open and usable correct? I have never fished for browns out of there just salmon... Anybody have some suggestions on areas to focus on? I have been told to leave the harbor and head west but anybody else want to share experiences?

I will 2nd this post.... I am sure I know enough how to fish to figure it all out on my own but there is a huge difference in just plopping down in the middle of the lake and hoping for the best and going out educated and confident.... Thanks Guys

Yankee troller made a post on here a couple years ago with some different lengths for the knot. I think it was 9.5 inches front and 11.5 inches back. It seemed to help with how they pull.
hmm ok I will have to measure..... I bought this used and just used the line and knot on there

thanks duke

That sea nymph is a great great boat..... not to sold on the Johnson engine on it (im an evinrude and yamahaa fan)... I think you would be happy with the sea nymph

Fished with otter boards for the first time this weekend and it seemed as though they were not pulling very hard and the slightest movement away from a straight line made the a lot of slack in the line.......... any suggestions on how to make them pull harder? maybe location of the knot in the rope on them?
