does anybody know of any shops in ontario that will remove soaked flotation foam and floor and put a new floor in? i pray the stringers are in good shape. the stringers that surround the gas tank were very solid still. this is something i do not want to do anymore. i yahoo searched and came up with a couple. looking for more quotes.

its a 1980 fiberform 19 footer. inboard 3L mercruiser with closed bow.

i have a 1973 evinrude 50 without controls.

-all new seals and gasket in gearcase

-new waterpump

-2 new sierra coils

-new solas amita 3 prop

-new thermostat

-new headgasket

-carbs cleaned and tuned by boynton marine in erin

-rebuilt fuel pump

-new cdi power pack with old but working condition omc power pack

all of this has been done this year as i had all this done during the winter to make it a solid reliable engine. this engine has been extremely reliable i am only selling it because i had installed a '73 evinrude 85 on my boat. i wanted the extra power to move my tri-hull with 3-4 people in it good

I'm still in break in mode so I can't estimate gas mileage and oil consumption but it runs fantastic. Loving the Etec motors in my boat & sled!

i thought evinrude advertised there was no break in period?

people are very paranoid it seems. ive taken my 16' trilhull bowrider out dozens of times on lake ontario and huron whether it be glass or 5 foot white caps. never had a problem. sure sometime the waves would bounce us around and the odd wave comes right in the boat but just know how to do it and your fine

taken it out to 270 FOW pretty much to the point you cant see land day and night

smaller boats get bounced around a bit more but nothing to be scared about

want to go out night fishin this saturday and was wndering how fishin at night on lake ontario is? i prefer catching salmon and trout but walleye seem to be the target... anyone have any tips or info as to where to fish and how the night time affect trout and salmon and walleye?
