This is porbably a stupid question but I bought a new spool of 1500 ft braided line and when I went to split it between two poles, one pole I put on 750 ft and the other took 1000 ft and it looks like I might have enough to do a third pole. I guess it would have been nice to know this before hand , I would have put 1000 ft on both, is this common (spool length vs. counter).

I didn't mention that I've had my boat out twice this spring and only boated three small browns 3 - 5 pounds. I put in at sodus and fished about 6 miles in both directions from there.

New to trolling but got the bug, just bought a bunch of ff rigs and was wondering when to use them. Last time out I rigged one pole with them and used 5 oz's of weight, they seemed to work and looked great. As of right now I haven't bought down riggers yet, already spent over 1800$ on hummingbird, poles and lures so any advice is well recieved .... thanks again.....

I have a searay with a 350 mercruiser engine and a rochester two barrel carb, it runs great for anything else but when I troll for more than maybe an hour it start to run real rough. want to know where to start rather than just taking a shot in the dark. I really don't want to spend more money if I could get some advice here. Something else, I have to pump the throttle many times before it will start, even after it warms up. Sounds like a carb adjustment but was wondering if anyone had a similar experience and what you did to correct. Thanks in advance for any adice you can give.....

New to trolling, trying to get all my equipment together. Has anyone tried the lure leader planers, if so how did they preform for you. I really don't want to invest in somthing that won't work for me. Thanks for any info.

I new to trolling but I have only read talk of stick bate and spoons, does anyone flateline with flashers and flies or meat rigs or is this stricktly when using downriggers. just bought a boat this season and can't wait to get out on the water.
