  1. Please let there be some Yellow Perch left in May & June.
  2. Are the 2 commercial netters going to remove / already removed all the Yellow Perch fish from Clayton area again ?
  3. I feel better knowing that" The all you can eat perch each Friday ?, Are also all other fish cut down to perch fillets. Oh well I will try to eat the jumbo Gobies. Might be tasty ? I did a check on the invasive seafood....NEVER eat any Gobies They eat the very toxic Zebra and Quahog muscles.
  4. I almost forgot all the meat hunters in my Clayton area. The 5 gallon fill the pails people. Neighbor extra restaurant sales. Different religious farmers with buckets. Tourists Oh well. I limited to 5 fish. No big breeders. 8 to 12 " only. My areacrashed right after central sewage system removed all sewage from upriver areas There are no weed beds anywhere now. Oh well.
  5. Hi everybody. The 2 old guys & 1 grand son in a 18 1/2' bow rider. 220 hp V 8 to run for it . It handles 3' waves fine. We want to fish within site of land. We will be doing the launchs from Cape Vincent, N Y. Will start about May 25. What can we expect in the river mouth and along the USA lake shore line? Our trolling will be with the small Dipsey Divers to get down. Any advice will help the grandson smile. Perch are great. Anything larger is a plus. Thank you Rich
  6. lost a lure Thank you very much I bought a Wander Fin for my boat. Thought I might have had a paper weight this spring. Rich
  7. Have the water control EXPERTS refilled the lake & river yet ?
  8. All the fish are waiting for me to show up on Wendsday or Thursday.
  9. We used to just put ALL covers on the boat. Seems like the warmer water heated the bottom of the boat & then that deck heat was slowly released thru the covers in place. Very light skim ice would be the worst for us on the St. Lawrence at Clayton N Y. We also put a piece of plastic over the openings around the stern drive hatch openings. So far so good.
  10. Thank you Chas & Carp. Looks like Wendsday or Thursday if they get & install the Wander Fin on the boat. I picked up a heavy saltwater spinning out fit. I am also waiting for a clip release to use on the Dipsey Diver. Many years ago ?? I used to use the rubber bands as releases. But I was not getting a lot of solid hookups at +-150' down in a N J lake. they would hold it for 3 to 10 seconds & release it. True, I was using 6# to 8# mono right to the lures with the rubber bands.
  11. How far away from shore How far out & then how far will you need to run along the shoreline to get into your harbor in a quick 4 to 6'chop ?
  12. Will you have some there on May 5 for me? Be my first trip to that area. We will also do the Tibbits Point area.
  13. Thanks again Dave. I have no need of Dipsies or keel weights in the river. I use those weights that have a piece of rubber in them. On heavy line. They slide easy enough at the end of the fight. Might use them on the upper lures in the lake. I find the fish get agressive after I pass over them.
