  2. I have exactly two weeks from today to sell and turn this business over to a new operator, otherwise I'll forfeit my other opportunity for the summer and will have to spend my time fishing. Over $25k in business on the books already this year, the majority of which will be realized post sale....or when you run the trips that are currently booked with deposit you will get the $15k in income. AND I am adding trips to the schedule every day!

    I'll take $35,000 or a reasonable offer.

  4. Uncle Paul,

In times past we used to match colors to water clarity, sun angle ect. In today's lake and with cutting edge finishes you can get away with just a few color combos....here they are: lure names are unique to Moonshine lures....color combos are not!

Black/silver with green glow --- geezer, raptor, Crabface

Green glow & silver --- green shorts, bad toad

    Green glow/blue & silver --- ratchet jaw

    Black & green glow --- Carbon 14

If you want to run flashers use flys in the same colors above behind a white/glow or green/glow flasher.

You can catch 90% of your fish on these combos for the additional 10% you may need those other 300 combos.....or not!

  5. I would say the best boat is a charterboat that you can partake in, catch fish, have fun, and walk away when you are done.

That my friend is the truth!! Especially if you can find a good one in several locations!

  6. ON a side not...I have a Raymarine DSM25 box sounder with an Airmar P58 sonar transducer.  If I move my Fishhawk transducer to the same side as my Airmar P58, will there be any interference picked up on my sonar?

My sonar runs at 50 / 200 hertz, and the Fishhawk runs at 75 or 80 I think.  Anybody know?

I mounted a Sternsaver mounting plate, and would like to move my fishhawk ducer over onto it.

You should have no problem whatsoever!!

  7. I think most of you miss the point. $800 should be the minimum cost for a full day charter. The average paid charter on Lake Ontario is $200-300 less than that. If your on a boat paying $500 you better tip the guy because he is in fact making less than minimum wage.

wow... good luck with your business. I will charter with scott. he has the right attitude. he will give everyone 100% everyday. just remember word of mouth is your best advertising.

I thank you for your well wishes Chris, but I don't quite understand what would have offended you especially since you agree with me on tipping. Enjoy your day with Capt. Scott!
  8. Lake Ontario charters are dirt cheap! If you are paying less than $800 for a day of fishing and you had fun...you should tip 20%

The one service I am most familiar with, the captain books the trip, makes lodging arrangements, sets lines, gasses and maintains the boat, cleans the limit of fish, Empties the head, cleans the boat and posts pictures on Facebook.

I think he deserves a $50 tip from each person onboard!

Oh...and he remembers who tips and who doesn't......just sayin'
