  1. Ok thanks, ill give them a call.
  2. Looking to purchase some 18x9 Bennett trim tabs. I was hoping to find them locally as I need them asap and dont want to wait for shipping. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could point me towards a store or marina that may have these in stock..
  3. Hey Jason, I picked up a half dozen rods and reels with two being dedicated as wire diver rods. def will pick up some spin doctors and e-chips, thanks! Excellent, thank you! Thanks for the link!
  4. So I am heading out tomorrow to stock up on tackle. I'm just wondering what I should grab since I'm just starting out. I have begun buying spoons but needed some extra advice. I'm hoping that you guys can let me know what other Items are important for chasing salmon. I'm looking to stack two rods on my down riggers. So maybe some stacker releases? Any preferences? How about flashers and dodgers, what size should I be looking to buy or is there any particular color that works best. Any advice on what tackle I should be shopping for or any advice of what I should have on my boat before heading out would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Maybe a minimum post count..lets say 20 post on the forum before you can sell in the classified section? One thing I do notice on other forums is that a healthy and active classified section brings in a lot of traffic which is good for the forum owners.
  6. Interested, any of these spoons are glow or uv?
  7. Just wondering if using a flourocarbon leader an acceptable method when running spoons off the riggers? If so, how long of a leader do you prefer. Also what diameter and brands do you prefer?
  8. Yeah, I see that they are rare. Okuma Convectors actually come in a left hand retrieval with a counter. I'm sure I can get used to the right hand with time though..
  9. May be a silly question but why are most conventional reels only available in right hand retrieval? I grew up spin fishing and fly fishing with my right hand on the rod and my left hand on the reel. I was looking to outfit my boat this weekend but not sure if I should go left or right or maybe some of both?....
  10. Thanks Tim, think I'll pick up a few and see how I like them!
  11. I wish I could afford $200 reels but I'm looking to completely outfit my boat and that would put me well over budget. maybe $100-$150 per a complete rod/reel. Any Input on Diawa heartland trolling rods? Fishusa has a rod/reel combo for $139? http://www.fishusa.com/Daiwa-Heartland- ... eel_p.html
  12. Thanks for the input so far. Just wondering if the diawa GL 47LC I see in the classified section are any good?
  13. Just picked up my first lake boat. It is equipped with two Canon electric down riggers. I have absolutely no rods or reels at the moment. Was hoping to get some advice on what to look for. Looking to run a few rods off the riggers and maybe a couple of dipsy rods as well. Length rods? Size reels? Any entry level rods or reels that I should consider? Any input would be appreciated..
  14. Haha! yes she does have sisters but they are all taken..lol Not sure about here granny though
  15. Name: Curro Location: Fayetteville Home Port: Mexico Point Boat Name/Type: 22' Galaxy walkaround I fish for: things that swim ================== Just wanted to introduce my self. I am an avid steelhead fisherman but always in the creeks and rivers. I have owned boats in the past but all in the salt. So for the upcoming fathers day my wife decides to give me an early present! It is a 22' Galaxy walkaround that was listed in the classified section of this forum. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=31949&p=188439&hilit=galaxy#p188439. Being totally new to lake fishing I am sure I will have a ton of question about tackle and rigging, so just want to thank everyone in advance.. Curro
