  1. Crestliner commander 2050 . I love mine so far . I looked at all three. There is not a bit of plastic on a commander. Everything is all metal Ended up going with the commander. I feel it was built better. And have more fishing room with the forward windshield.20180929_135643.thumb.jpeg.2316c3e1ace9c31d0e832d130c251399.jpeg20180929_143335.thumb.jpeg.9a062a34cdc7974672fcb4d8c02aaf78.jpeg20190407_121801.thumb.jpeg.0dc2cfcb6636518abb5a4b9015703bee.jpeg20180929_135610.thumb.jpeg.86d89bab591a5a9959930d64580ea15c.jpeg20180929_143429.thumb.jpeg.5042af1de3a8f54dc0084c225f494d31.jpeg20180929_135835(0).thumb.jpeg.deadbe7d8d7cfac89f383531df74a8f1.jpeg

  2. I want have an autopilot installed on my boat, but I have virtually no knowledge of autopilots, so thought I'd come here for some expert advice.  I have a 2019 Starcraft Fishmaster 196 with a 150HP Yamaha and 9.9 Yamaha Hi-Thrust Kicker.   The motors are connected with a tie-bar, seastar hydraulic steering for the big motor.  Any advice as to what brand/type of autopilot that would work for this setup would be greatly appreciated.   Some questions that come to mind:
Would the autopilot be installed on the big motor or the kicker?  If on the big motor, would that motor need to be running to steer the Kicker Motor?

    Thanks

  3. How do you go about doing a washdown kit? where would the best place be to "suck" water from? bilge/transome area? What about where the water goes? auto bilge? not much info on these for some reason. it will be installed on a 1990 gls195 I/O.

    Thanks

  4. Have a 262 penn yan competitor. Also have a t9.9 with tr1 gold love it. But like anyone that fished this year it was bumpy. My 9.9 struggles when it 3 ft and bigger. Its just to hard with cavitation. A couple time heading into wind i ran my main has the 454 in it carb sucks normal conditions i troll way to fast. But 4 ft rollers it holds 2.3 2.4 perfect. Looking for a inexpensive auto pilot for my main. But i might be ok with kicker i turned down the gain it stopped flapping back and forth this fall. But would love the second option. Of the main.

my buddy has 26 pennand has 15 hp kicker wrks great wth tr1 in wind

  5. Quick offshore report. Fished 30-31 line putting 8 steelhead and 4 kings in the boat. Biggest king 14lbs and steelhead 8 lbs. Dropped a couple beautiful steelhead at the boat that definitely were over 10lbs...... mostly spoons for the steelhead and FF on the kings

  6. I setup a 250 BR walleye copper on a Daiwa 57 LC5 this winter.  I can’t say how much backer in terms of feet were, but I felt it was more than adequate.  My thought was same as yours- hit 60 or so down with less line than a 10 color.  I played around with the walleye copper a few years ago in shorter lengths to possibly replace some lead core but wasn’t happy with the result.  If you have silver bass wad up that copper you can have quite an impressive mess.

i set up 500 copper on a diwia 57 wth 400 ft of power pro backer
