  1. Not sure what the adhesive was but think I ordered it from cabelas. I'll see if that container is still around but I doubt it. Here's a picture of how we made up templates for each side of the floor. I keep my bow in the walk thru layout most of the time. Only time I put the insert in is when I'm just cruising for the day with people. Had my boat for 11 years now and love it. I use it for shad fishing in the Delaware river at home.I just got it repowered at end of last season with a new 115 Yamaha 4 stroke. Will probably uncover it in the next 3 or 4 weeks and run it.

  2. Is your kicker tied to the main outboard with the tr1 turning both? If not I wonder if the kicker alone doesn't have enough rudder surface to stay on course in the waves/current.

I use a minn kota terrova with ipilot on smaller lakes for trolling and tried it on Lake O when I first started salmon fishing. Pushed with the main motor, steered with the minn kota. Worked ok on really calm days but wandered a bit when the waves were much over a foot. I added the raymarine to control the main motor and it is my prefered method for fishing on Lake O.

your correct the kicker is not enough to keep up and was going to connect the two together however it says in the manual for tr1 that you cannot do that im not so sure the tr1 would have enough ass to turn both

  3. garmin makes a great autopilot for the kicker, throttle control and steering right from a remote.. if I had to upgrade thats what I would get.. I have the Lowrance, its good to keep the boat straight we setting rods that's about it

the one you're talking about is the tr1 and i have it allready problem is it doesn't keep up in the waves and currents on lk onterio

  4. I am about to try a unusual Lowrance idea. I have a Lowrance Hds7 gen 2 touch. I bought the hydraulic autopilot last year but to install on an outboard. I never installed it and l am planning to sell the boat since I went bigger. The new boat is an I/O with a mercruiser alpha 1 gen 2 out drive. I plan to install a machine type hydraulic cylinder to the out drive steering arm. The cyl will be about $100. It will be controlled by the Lowrance pump /controller. It will need a bypass valve to be engaged when the autopilot is off otherwise the cylinder will lock up. I will let you know how it works in the spring.
