Will do! Really looking forward to this event!

I haven't done any looking yet but are there any good places to stay for a reasonable price close to the dock? I secured a slip for two days and really don't have enough room on the boat. I could make it work if I have to. Thanks!

Thanks for the info - I have been looking at these for a while now and this might help me pull the trigger!

I picked up the 7 earlier this year and have had pretty good luck so far. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I don't run into any problems.

Was out that way yesterday and lots of cold water and not a lot of fish. I had surface temps 46-48 degrees with 41 at the ball 50 ft down. Moved out deep looking for warmer water and caught one small one in 300 fow down 110 on a spoon. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did.

Thinking of making the drive to Dunkirk and give it a shot. Never fished for eyes out of Erie. Any tips on depths or tips in general? Planning to run plugs on riggers, 150 copper with church boards and dipsys. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

2nd this!!
I haven't used snubbers in years.
A quality ball bearing snap swivel at the diver side of the leader and just a small duolock snap at the lure end.
As far as the Mechanic, Jim Evarts at the Boat Doctors in Olcott is very good (corner of Rte 18 and Jackson St), which is a good thing since he is also the ONLY boat mechanic in Olcott.

I would spend 35 on an okuma dipsey rod and go with wire - I like 7 strand Malin 40-45 bucks. Lots of good reels out there to set it up with. I like tekotas or 47 lc daiwas. Wire in my opinion is the best setups for running dipseys.

Looking for a used scotty rigger to match the pair I have on the boat. Let me know what you have and how much.
thanks,

I'll be fishing out of Wilson tonight and will hopefully be able to provide a positive update!

I grew up on the Sacandaga fishing mainly Benedict Bay and Hans creek. The transition to Lake O is awesome. If you need any help let me know. I fish mainly out of Wilson now and do pretty well. Good luck getting rigged up!

I ordered a couple of 24" tracks by mistake instead of the 36's. Rather than ship back anyone in need of 2 - 24" tracks?
