I think i paid $189 for a set of the Amish Outfitter redwood boards last season. I used them l season and they worked great. Sounds like you got a good deal on them.

Well here goes.....
If i run a Bay rat that is supposed to run approx 7 ft,and then run 2 colors of lead core that runs about 10 ft., is the Bay rat going to be running approx17 ft ? The lead core is 27# and i'm running approx 12-15 ft of 12 lb flouro leader.
Or
Should i just run the bay rat on mono with the 12 lb leader to get the 7 ft depth in shallow water i'm looking for?
I'm sure the answer is simple but i'm just am looking for your experiences

Has anyone bought on line from these folks? I just tried to order 2 of their teaser rigs at a cost of $21.00 plus tax and then plus shipping. To my surprise I got the message that my order didn't meet their $25.00 minimum, so they wouldn't process it.
I wanted to call and talk to them, but they don't even post a phone # or an email address.
I can't imagine how they stay in business if you can't buy what you want if your order isn't at least $25.00

Glad I could help pass along info that can be useful by fellow fishermen (and fisherwomen).

That's what I wanted to do when I started, just find something quick and easy. I couldn't find any pipe/pvc the size that fit the way I was looking for in my seat post and at the same time would be a good fit for the planer mast.
Thanks for the Picts.....

Chasurt...
I put a couple of picts in another posting here that shows how i adapted my front Atwood seat post to be able to mount my planer mast in to. This whole project cost less than $15.00 and a little of my time.
If I can answer any questions give me a PM
My post and picts are in this post

I've see them on line before, but this seems to be the best price I'll order up a pair this week.

I just picked up a 620 and a 625 for $45 each. Once i cleaned the barn dust off them they look pretty good. I've used the 620's in my friends boat so I knew how bullet proof they are before i bought them. I going to put them on my 16ft Smoker Craft to use on the small lakes here in NH.
The only issue is they didn't have any bases with them. If anyone has a base or 2 they aren't using and would like to sell, let me know.

Couple of questions......
How long is the cord or how much slack do you have in the cord between the rigger cable and where it attaches to the rigger/boat?
Secondly...I don't see how you can run a stacker for a second rod if you want. Am i missing something?
Thanks &

I've been running the Diawa Sealine 47H's for a number of years with excellent results. Unfortunately, no line counters. Two years ago I bought 2 Okuma Convector CV 45D with the line counters which are reasonably priced and I haven't had any issues with. This year I just bought 2 Diawa Sealine 27LC reels. I haven't seen anyone review these. Does anyone have any experience with them?

Hi,
I've just started to use big boards and planer mast last season so i don't have a lot of experience but so far my set up has been working fine.
I have the Lund 18ft Sport angler with the sport track. My planer mast is located in the bow where the front pedestal seat would be. I bought 2 Cisco rod holders for each side of the boat that mount into the tee slots of the sport track. The Ciscos are easily removed or repositioned anywhere along the track.
In the pict, the rod that is straight up is the one to the board.
Don't know if this helps, but just another idea for you.

The only caution from Amish outfitters is not to paint them or put any sealer on them. They need to be able to soak up the water to make them heaver...That's what makes them pull like they are famous for.
