  1. I read reviews and opinions for Many items. I bought two Okuma cv-45d level wind reels last fall. I've only used them a few times and would like others experiences before I buy more. How do the drag's hold up, does the level wind guide wear ok if I use spectra braid, how about using wire with them?

I know it's still a while before I can get back on the water this spring, but the plans are already set for Litle Sodus Bay this coming May.

    Thanks for any info.

  2. I'm new to the flea problem. I'm reading where some folks are spooling with heavier mono. Are they less of a problem on the heavier weight mono? How do you clean them off the line? Are they a problem on steel down rigger line? Thanks fo any info you can give.

  3. I recently placed an order with the walleye tackle store, but some how my address given them was wrong. I emailed them and they called me right back letting me know they would get the correct address on my shipment

My thanks to walleye tackle and Rick K for taking care of the problem.

If you need tackle or gear, contact them. They are great to work with.

  4. I've had the 10xts's installed on my 1800 sport angler. I really like the auto stop feature. I did have a problem with the cable jumping off the front roller. I called cannon and their tech rep was excellent. He sent me two new roller assemblies without question. Like others are saying, it's all about your personal preference. Now the question manual vs electric. My vote is electric if it fits your budget.

  5. I bought 2 Chamberlain stacker releases last year and liked them so much I picked up 2 more to replace all of the Roemers I had been using. Very easy to set up. I really like the ability to

Adjust the pole to release tension as well as the tension to release the fishnstrike, they also pop free from the rigger cable when I'm bringing up the ball on the electric riggers.

You won't regret buying the Chamberlains. Fish USA had the best price I could find on line.

  6. I really look forward to all of this great information from you all. I'm travelling to lake Ontario from NH on May 1st for a week. We're fishing Mexico bay area towards Oswego. I would love to get into some kings along with the spring browns. I bought a new Lund 1800 sport angler last year and I just love it. It,s outfitted with a pair of STX 10 downriggers which makes going deep pretty easy.

I read the browns are pretty shallow so I plan to run flat lines. What are your suggestions for depth and any spoons, stix or flies. Years ago I ran some tandem flies on steel. What about speed, I can only get down to about 2.1 to 2.4. Now for kings. Where do I start? I picked up a few 8" pro trolls and dream weavers with a few flies, I also have spoons from NK mags down to 1" Long speedy shiners.

Thanks for any ad all advice you can provide.
