Many years ago had similar problem with more than one eagle claw star fire rods .What I did was install a small sheet metal
screw through the seat into the blank crude repair but worked great.Also contacted company at end of the season and they
sent me a couple new rods.

Had an 8 Tohatsu 4 stroke on Islander I had a few years ago great motor.Get electric start and extra long shaft
to dig into waves.I believe the 8 electric start Also has alternator to charge battery.

No way don't leave the top up I had an Islander ,built wood frame then put boat cover over frame then tied tarp over cover.Tarp allows snow to easily slide off.Have used same methods for several boats with good results.Good luck

Trailer surge brake bleeding

I have been attempting to bleed the surge brakes on my single axle trailer and after trying several methods can't seem to get
all the air out.Jacked-up trailer and spun wheel activated coupler and wheel did seem to brake.Any thoughts?
