  1. I just finished up slicing the cables. I soldered all of the connections like you guys recommended. I used small heat shrink tubing over all of the individual wire connections and then I put a piece of heavy duty heat shrink over the entire set of connections. I think everything is good and water

tight. Now I've got to get it out on the water to test it out.

  2. Does anyone know if it is possible to splice a Fishhawk X4D transducer cable back together?  I bought a used X4-D from a guy and he cut the transducer cable when he took it off his boat.  I got it cheap enough so I can afford to buy a new one, but it would be nice to save the $200.00 for a new one if it could be put back together with crimp connectors and heat shrink tubing.  I'm wondering if there would be any interference issue since it is a shielded cable.

  3. Where the hell do you hunt?? Those deer heads are insane!!

Most of the whitetails are from New Hampshire.  One is from Maine, and one is from Vermont.  The mule deer are from Colorado.

  4. It's 18' 4" with a 92" beam.  It's a great platform for about any type of fishing.  I had my down riggers set up on quick release bases, so I could go from a trolling boat to a bass boat in about 5 minutes.  It's great in rough water.  It's a great all around boat.

  6. Does anyone know anything about the new Lowrance autopilot system that links with the HDS units? Its only $999.00 in the Cabela's catalog. It looks pretty cool and its not that expensive especially if you already have an HDS unit.

  7. I fish both Lake Ontario and Champlain. I have an 1875 pro v and I love it. I fish for both bass and trout. I have set it up with a downrigger mounting board so I can convert back and forth from a trout boat to a bass boat in about ten minutes. It the best boat for both types of fishing. I wish I had a 2075, but I'm very happy with my 1875. It does great in the big water. It's a great best of both worlds boat. post-153336-14187732262326_thumb.jpgpost-153336-14187732702365_thumb.jpgpost-153336-14187732949357_thumb.jpg
