  1. Went out at 6am went to 175fow to start and worked out to 300 west wind not even 1 footers. Had 3 hook ups within an hour all different rods. 1 on the dipsey, one 300' of copper, one off the rigger. The downrigger a pro troll white crushed with a pro troll bait head 65 down using leadcore. the dipsey i set  at 175 on 0 with a dolphin spin doctor and mag dolphin DW. The copper a green and red triangular attractor with a orange and yellow mag with bone pattern. Best luck in 200-300fow, went 3-6 pics soon

  2. I currently use a a lowrance 5x-DSI which i know is a bit older but fish finder come out as fast as cell phones. orginally i never thought I was going to be mainly fishing lake o and deeper lake erie. The problem im having is the fish finders no longer pick up bait balls or nearly anything. On top of that it will give crazy depths after awhile actually they both do not always at the same time. If anyone has any advice on this issue and if anyone has anyone has any advice on settings. I have watched videos and read aboit changing settings around. I atleast use to track my downriggers and those dont even occasionally show.

My question is i had to replace the washers in them the first year. Just wondering if this normal or something im doing wrong on my end. they are the basic model.

  5. I have a 35 psi compressor with a cheaper single action airbrush gum that came with it and an iwata dual action neo. I always went crazy on paints I have everything from water based to vinyl jig paint a few not even open. I have blank lures ranging from stick bait to crank baits musky baits spoons stencils and mask. Also other little cleaning brushes mixing cans. I have started and stopped over the last 2 years. I also have a assortment of epoxys I could never get the finish I wanted. Will post pictures and come up with prices soon just wanted to see if anyone was interested

  6. Went out of Olcott head out to 400fow trolling 40-65 fow spin doctor crushed mtn dew and alewife mag spoon 45ft. Down on the rigger it gets smashed makes a few runs then really put it in high gear and took it down to the backing and snapped the line. I was in the process of clearing lines the line wrapped around the dipsey rod we run it feed it through the eyelets and I tied it back on. Thinking I'd maybe get some of my braid back or my setup well after two cranks, boom she's still on there. Handed it back to my dad and he landed this 38" 25 pound king with eggs in her and a 3ft Lamprey we cut up. But I wish I had this on video was absolutely one of the craziest redemptions I've had.

  8. Thanks dr. Chad I am familiar with wire knots from runnings in saltwater and I just wanted to.make sure before I spent the cash on the extra line. I also switched out 3 tips already for lead core and copper and it was much easier than I thought it would be. You don't think I need to put rollers anywhere or anything of the sort with them do i?

  9. I currently run 65 pound power pro which I know I could be using something a little lighter but I bought it at a amazing price. But I currently just added two more rod holders on my traxtech. I was wondering people input on monel vs just stainless steel wire and also if 300 is sufficient or if 1000 is truly necessary for running a second set of dipseys off each side. I appreciate any input. Also is twili tips enough or is replacing the guides or buying rods with all rollers a better idea.
