i was just interested as i work at a natural gas plant here in PA. Prior to this i was involved in two other coal plant conversions to natural gas, Typically its relatively clean with all the exhaust monitoring and scrubbing that goes along with the conversions especially when compared to coal. Not wanting a political war was just curious if it was the air pollution, cooling water, runoff, or another factor/prior violations that cause the concerns and hurts the fishing Just trying to learn. I'm somewhat new to fishing the finger lakes but have been in natural gas power generation for 10 years now. Typically your trying to get as much heat output out of natural gas as possible for either running your turbine or feeding a boiler or HRSG for in combined cycle within the confines of exhaust monitoring and sampling. Dumping natural gas to atmosphere is waste of money. I need to read up on the whole bitcoin miner issue. As far as resources go New York said no to natural gas drilling the last i heard. New York does some surface wells but a majority of New York's natural gas comes from the marcellus shale region of PA via pipelines. Just an FYI!
My biggest concern is algae blooms in Dresden.. last thing I want is tourists to find out theirs harmful algae blooms on Seneca lake

Was it not converted to natural gas?
It is natural gas but if they burned it more efficient instead of burning it with a 70-year-old turbine that burns 35% I don’t get why they don’t go out west with all the other major bitcoin miners this company’s going to come in and use our resources for it?

The guy I talked to says dec doesn’t consider the keuka outlet from the trestle to the lake a trout stream thats why they’re getting away with all this discharge permits.. he sent me this link and said see page 28 of 38..

3 split duck season the way to go.. end of September end of December second or third week of January.. maybe 2 or three geese for youth season? For the kids lugging 2 dozen goose decoys 150 yards in a field to make be more memorable.. has anyone told the task force these are great dates? 100% of guys I talked to in flx ducks unlimited dinners and hunters at boat ramps said they’re horrible

How about having a waterfowl season when birds are around? Or how about maybe having a youth season that kids can pull the trigger more then once on a common mallard.. I’d rather have a shorter season when you can actually shoot a bird then a long season with no birds around..

I did email Brad yesterday. He said he was already in talks with US fish and wildlife today so he’s going to show them. A quick summary of what he emailed back.“Good news is we have treatment scheduled for this coming year in Catharines, Keuka Outlet, and the canal from Montour Falls to the lake.“..”Additionally we are trying to boost the lake trout population again by recently increasing stocking numbers to pre-2012 levels”.

I was wondering about the swimmer thing myself...why wouldnt they?
Update: I guess they have been known to grab onto the occasional swimmer but are easily yanked
off. They do most of their "damage" when attached for long periods. I am guessing having 3 or 4
trying to latch onto you while swimming would be pretty damn unpleasant though!
Note to self...No swimming in Seneca lake this coming season.
I’m sure they would, I picked them off fish and they turned and latched on to me. No ones skiing or doing water sports in the temps their in

That’s crazy! How’s the water level to the ramp Steve?
Here’s Brads email in case.
[email protected]
Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile appOur ramp is unusable right now, shallow water along with the gravel getting pushed it wouldn’t be worth it. Probably March will get dredged
