  1. Might not be perfect but I pulled on it as hard as I could and it would not break! I put the braid on the rod & reel and held the tag end in my mouth. Even though the rod was held in place the braid had proper give because of the flex in the tip of the rod. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Yes see what happens! Because braid has no stretch if you have it really tight the wraps will not form correctly. But from my understanding the braid cannot be too loose either. I've been trying to do it with the braid still on the spool not the reel with heavy pressure on the spool so it won't move and tying off the tag end of the braid to my fishing backpack so there's no give. How are you guys getting the right amount of give in the braid? I tried putting the tag end in my mouth but I couldn't get the hang of it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Having the braid too tight does make a lot of sense Justin because if there's no give in the braid it can't form correctly if my understanding of this knot is correct. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I thought the braid was supposed to be tight though??? I'll try to loosen it up. What's happening and where the problem is occurring is after each wrap the line is binding while pulling it straight before the next wrap. I have to really finagle the leader line back & fourth a few times to get it to wrap correctly. I'll actually feel a click if you will when the leader line goes where it should and gets harder & harder to do the more wraps there are. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Ok this is what's happening my loops are going sideways instead of towards me why is this happening??? I'm pulling the line straight after every wrap and wrapping over then under the braid what the hell am I doing wrong here? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Thanks for the video flybuster! Maybe my problem is having the leader and braid too tight? From all the videos I've seen they said to have the braid tight and didn't really mention how tight the leader line should be I'll try loosening things up. 7. Nj flybuster that's how it's supposed to look! I think I tried 8 & 10lb test but maybe I'll try something a little heavier. Did you keep a lot of tension on the leader line while doing the wraps? Also you went over the braid then under it right? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I hear you Justin not only is it super low profile but it's super strong the line breaks before the knot ever gives. You may be right I might be doing my wraps backwards? I never get to Binghamton but maybe I'll take a picture of what's going on. Flybuster I would be using this knot for casting otherwise I would just use an Albright knot or swivel. It would also be going on two rods with micro guides which is why I wanted to go to this knot. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Lol I feel your pain pap! In the videos they make it look so damn easy that's the most frustrating part! The reason I don't want to give up on this knot is because it's a super low profile knot. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I've been trying to tie the recently popular FG or GT knot and it's been driving me insane. Trying to tie this knot has given me migraines. I've seen all the YouTube videos on how to tie it. I do exactly what the videos show but the problem is with my wraps. When wrapping the line the knot is forming from left to right when it should be forming in the up & down position. I wrap the leader line around the main line and pull it straight exactly how it shows in the videos. The knot should form from the up & down position with ease what the hell am I doing wrong? My mainline (braid) is tight so it's not that. I'm wondering if it's because I'm using very thin diameter braid like Nanobraid and that's why the loops aren't forming correctly and this knot is only meant for regular thicker braids? Anyone have thoughts on this? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

It retails for $70 + S&H($20) I'm willing to part with it for $60. Cannot ship the net due to extreme shipping costs so local sale only. PM me for phone # if interested.
  19. LTFM I to have a place right on the water near mudbay close to Ponds Marina. I've been fishing the area for about 25 years mostly for bass and sometimes walleye. I have NEVER in all my years of trolling caught a musky but I'm certain at least once I had one on in front of your place about 4 years ago in the spring/early summer. I had a planer board out running a shallow diving lure in semi deep water. The planer board took off like a shark had ahold of it I had to reverse the boat just to keep up with it and shortly after my line broke. It cut my line near the swivel and I was heartbroken! Could it have been a large pike maybe but I've caught a lot of large walleye, pike and sheepshead on boards and none took the board like this fish did. I've also been looking into targeting musky and possibly hiring a guide as well. Catching a musky is up there on my bucket list. Oh I should mention my father has caught two muskies by accident over the span of five decades. One 30 some pound tiger musky and a small musky both were caught in the spring around fox island. I'll be sending you a PM for sure.
  20. I went on their website and I couldn't find any that glow in the dark do they still make them? I have a few Brads Wiggle Warts in the standard size is the Mag version better for salmon? I know they make a glow version of wiggle warts but they are hard to find. What's the best retrieve for them slow & steady?
  21. I've heard they can be really good for salmon at night some people swear by them. My question is what are the best colors for night fishing? Also what is the best way to present it for salmon a slow steady retrieve or jigging it type of retrieve? Will they work in stained water as well as clear water? I would be using it for pier fishing not sure what sizes would be best though.
  22. I'm gonna try them again and will post pics if it happens again which I'm sure it will.
  23. There is a tiny gap in the eye but it's as far as it will close.
