The action cam is easy. I can usually get it turned on while I'm fighting a fish. You control it from an app on your smart phone versus it coming with its own remote. I usually just turn it on manually. I like the picture better than the gopro.

I'm fishing for tigers 80% of the time as well. I have Sony action cams I pull still shots from, so I'm not worried about photos.

My main concern is a successful release for both fish and angler.

I do the majority of my fishing alone. At times, my fiancé will tag along, and she is really the only one that I trust with the net. There are times that handling fish alone is a real challenge. What do others who fish alone do to better their chances at successfully netting that fish?

I've noticed that. Thanks for bringing that up. I think I'm going to get both. I'll try the higher gear low pro for burning buck tails and the round for my heavier baits and adjust from there.

That makes sense. And when you're using 65#-80# braid, you don't really need a large amount of line for casting anyhow. Thank you

I can certainly see where your hand would kind of mold to a low pro, where ass the round reels are more bulky. But, it seems as though with the round reel being wider, it would give you more room with gloves on for line control. Maybe I'm thinking the wrong way.

I'm getting ready to add a few reels for my heavy casting/ jigging setups and I was wondering if this was more a preference thing, or the low pros get to a certain point where you are better off going to a round reel? I don't care either way. I just want to make sure I'm benefiting from what I buy.

I've made a choice based on my lack of planning. We decided to stay closer to home and we are headed to Chautauqua for 3 days in October. With a wedding this year, and a few other things, it was in my best interest to wait till next year for the big trip. Thanks guys for your help!

I'm planning a trip for myself and one other buddy around full moon in November for three days. I'm not looking to troll. I want to do a vertical presentation. I'm willing to head across the border. Was out yesterday down by eagle bay. The black ice is definitely melting and by afternoon the top layer was crumbling apart. The ice was also making those late ice cracks all day. The conditions changed big time in two days time. Also, the shoreline up in Inlet by the channel is shot. Be safe and enjoy.
