  1. Its been tough everywhere!!!! This pic sums this years productivity. 4 lines ran through that for about 1000 meters and not even a hit.
  2. Went out yesterday from 5pm till 8ish. Whitby to Oshawa and back, never marked a single fish. Was trolling from 30 FOW to about 65FOW. Water is very cold (45-48F) . More important is big water season is back!
  3. Well you guys are not getting me excited for my first trip out this year on Lake O Hopefully it gets better this weekend
  4. I might be trying Whitby as well on the weekend. Probably head west to Duffins and power plant. Gonna try 25-50 FOW. Long lining rapala's and flatfish. Hope to hook a few. cheers,
  5. If you are after Salmon you might be hard pressed to find them. With the cooler water temps you can long line for bows and cohos in 60-100 FOW. I usually don't have luck finding Kings until the first week of June or if you can locate some warmer water temps. It will be good to learn the ropes of fishing with your downrigger before the action gets real good (July-August) Just be careful on the water right now as it is frigid. I am going out for my first time of the year next week so I will give an update if we have any success. cheers!
  6. Lots of creeks all throughout Durham region so I will look for the "mud lines". Power plant is always reliable so I will make my way there as well. Thanks!!
  7. Thanks Vince!!! Hoping to be out in a few weeks Cheers,
  8. Good day to all: Winter is finally over and I'm ready to get the boat wet. I have never chased any Browns or Bows in the spring. I keep hearing shallow is the way to go but what exactly is shallow in Lake O? I usually start around mid May and troll 60-90 FOW with small spoons and long lining Flatfish, does that sound right??? I fish North Shore between Whitby and Pickering. Any tips would be appreciated Keep safe and good luck, Scott
