  1. Adding to the reply above; certain species (Black Bass) have designated catch and release seasons where you’re allowed to target outside of the standard season as long as they’re released immediately. Use caution though as it’s not a statewide reg. In the southern tier you can target Bass in May; however, where we have property in the northern zone fishing outside of standard dates for Black Bass is prohibited. It’s clearly defined in the statewide Angling Regs publication.
  2. Great reflection, I enjoyed reading it. Congratulations on the win, that is an impressive Brown!
  3. Nice! Where do you usually Bullhead fish on Seneca? Dresden area?
  4. This was from a posting on April 28th, not sure if its still spot on, but I don't question that there's still lots of fish in shallow , either in the mouth of the canal, or slightly up the canal. I would assume Rainbows should still be passing through, heading back to the lake, and Salmon are usually in there through most of May. "I was up there on Sunday as well, and also did well in front of the boat launch, to the bridge. I ended up going 1 for 3 , landing a 5 lb Salmon, and losing another right in front of launch. I also hooked up in front of Cargill Salt. My friend caught 3 Browns and a Salmon as well, one Brown was 10lbs. We were trolling smelt colored stickbaits behind our kayaks. The fishing is great up there right now."

  6. Right across from clute park there is a road that goes back in to the campground. There is a launch in there where you can drive right up to the water. Another option is the pull off at the corner of the lake just past clute park. I launch my kayak here throughout the summer.
