I typically only run Meat on large paddles 11 inch. Most 8 inch. SD, protrolls, big weenie or any other brand I stick to flies. I've also run Meat behind the 10" SD with some success.

I have 60" cisco tracks and I really really like them. Have Cannon tracks on my other boat. I use the multi axis Cannon ratcheting holders and like them aswell.

I think the solution is pretty simple. Put some real time wireless cameras in place at the big pools. Technology is cheap and could allow a few people to watch multiple places for illegal activity and deploy officers.

Apparently its difficult to determine the age class of alewife based on size. When they do the trawls they actually identify the age class by dissection. so I do believe the science that we are very low on those year classes.

I don't believe the cuts will make that much of a difference to the quality of fishing. Winds, temps etc will likely affect the fishing more.

However if you do believe it will I'll gladly buy your gear at a discount. Lol.

I did buy some gambler rigs and ran them on Georgian Bay (Lake huron) and picked up a bunch of Lakers there thanks gambler! I would fish them if they were present near my port but wouldn't choose them over kings.

I'm central on the north shore, the Lakers are east and west of me a considerable distance so I don't target them. Some people do but I wouldn't say many.

I'm on the north shore (whitby)and I've caught 1 laker in 6 years fishing. I also agree on the bait observation. I haven't seen much at all since July. It's definitely a bit concerning. prior to that it was stacked up all inshore and in tight.

Yeah might be pushing it with 400 ft of backing. I have a tekota 800 with 400 on it and i already have a 400 so might switch it out peel off 50 ft and do a 350 on the titus and put the 500 on the tekota. Or split the 400 into maybe a 200 or 250 and have a 100 or 150 copper? Thoughts on this? I already have 7 and 10.colour micro core setups that get me to 40 and 55 ft respectively.

We did a bunch with a meat slicer while it was frozen. Worked great. Then used an Exacto to trim to size and shape. Some sides you could get two strips out of in opposite directions. Used a mag rocket as a template. Hope this helps

Curious if anyone on here as spooled an okuma titus 20L with copper. I have 500 ft of atomik 45lb copper and 50lb power pro for backing that I'm hoping to get on the reel.

Reel capacity is 570 of 25lb, 470 of 30lb, 400 of 40lb test.

I don't run snubbers at all. In my opinion I lose fish because of them. loose enough drag and you shouldn't have any problems.
