Not sure what you mean about being able to change out flies on the Salmon Candy flashers.  Tie an overhand knot in fly leader at end and you can pass loop through attachment point on any brand flasher, then pass hooks and fly through that loop after it is through swivel and pull tight.  Easy to reverse that to change out.  Note the second pic is out of sequence and is really 3rd in the steps to attach a fly with an overhand knot to a spin doc.

  2. Over the winter I’m getting a selection together, what do you preferred to use and why , I’ve made the trip to Lake Ontario for 4 years now and did pretty good but I know I could do better , I kinda like the salmon candy line  , can switch flies without having to re tie the leaders , what’s you thought.

  3. I can say the dealer I bought my from has went way beyond what most dealer would, boat was 1 yr old , started went out , every dealer was a 2 week out , he got me one and installed it the next day , then I crack the hull , he went to bat for me and when we figure out the problem I drop the boat off at Starcraft and was back on the water the next week with a new hull , even 7 year later he helps if he can , just this year I had a fuel problem and he talked me through it to find out the problem and sent me the part to fix it when ever place around me told me no parts are available , a good dealer will help you even after a purchase.

I would recommend Olcott or even further East to Oak Harbor.  We fished straight out of Wilson on Monday offshore to the Canadian border.  We picked up 2 Kings (15 & 16 lb) and 4 steelhead between 8 & 11 am.  We fished out of Oak Harbor on Tuesday (My first time fishing that area).  Again we went offshore to 650 FOW and went 3/4 on the Kings and 4 Steelhead.  I believe we could have caught more Kings if the weather would have been better...we only fished for 3.5 hours on Tuesday (and wasted almost an hour as my sons buddy let a bag of chips fly out of the boat so we pulled all the lines and went back to pick it up and then looped around and set-up again.....by the time we did that our fishing trip was almost over)

Regardless of where you should plan to be offshore.  Also, put a variety out and let them choose what they want.  On Monday (Wilson) we caught the Salmon on meat rigs on a 300 copper and 10 color leadcore.  No fish hit any of our divers.  Steelhead were caught on the riggers and copper.  On Tuesday (Oak Orchard) we hooked 3 of the Salmon on a diver with a white flasher fly.  Nothing on the weighted lines.

Regardless, good luck.  I live in Michigan and have made the trip to Lake Ontario 3 times this year to give you an idea how much better the fishing is in Lake O than Lake Michigan.  Hopefully that changes this weekend as I'm hoping to try Manistee Michigan

Same boat as you , we usually go to Lake Ontario but with the east winds this weekend we will be in Manistee , also live in Michigan lol

  5. InSanEddie, don’t be a nice guy , tell them to take care of this problem immediately or your going to hire a lawyer and the cost of this boat ain’t **** of what your going to sue for , there no reason to wait that long for someone to ship it back to the factory, when I told them that they move quickly, you have a case hands down

  6. On my 2013 Starweld a seam in the front split , they claimed I hit something, which I knew I didn’t, I found some bad welds on the braces and the factory agree to replace the hull and only cost to me was 2000.00 because the boat was 2yr old , after a 10 minute conversation with the factory they agree to do it free , they had me back on the water within a week only because I dropped it off at the factory, there is no reason for welds to split like that if welded correctly.
