High diver on 3 setting, low on 1.5. High diver rod needs to be a little longer than the low or the same length w/ the rod holder higher and forward of the low. I usually run a mag on the lows depending on target depth.

San Diego jam for 30 lb flouro and larger especially the stiffer leader material.

You can still stroke the rod, just keep the tip at waist level and twist your body and reel on the way back, just don't point the rod tip past the front of the board that seems to be when they flip.
