If you dont do an albright knot at the braid to copper knot, what do you use? Do you think the albright is good for leader to copper

anyone know how much copper the sealine 57 can hold off hand, i know its in here somewhere?
-
Same retrieve rate for a sg57 or a seagate 50.... 42.9 per turn. 48.2 on a seagate 60.
yes, correct, thank you

Check out bloodrun tackle they have some good info to check out, depth charts, copper weight differences etc

Im sure it will get a thorough work out with many opinions.
If its a big hit,I wonder if anybody on here will be able to figure out how much backing they will need on this reel or that reel
to fill to capacity???
-
If you need the counter think about the Sealine 57SGLC3B. Very nice reel good capacity and retrieval rate, reasonable size/weight and smooth effective drag.... I love mine.
Les, do you have any trouble with copper and the swivels going thru the level wind??? I believe the opening is smaller than on the seagate, and the retrieve is slightly less on the sealine 57, but not by much .
Im asking because ive been looking at both for copper and other trolling applications.
And anybody have suggestions for where to look for best price?

Steel wire....hmmmm. same thickness as copper. Could be tough on guides and reels...memory bends? I'll wait to see advantage kudos.
never saw the torpedo weighted wire, but would it be any worst than using wire typically used for divers????

You might be thinking Im going to talk about boat maintenance, sharpening hooks , whatever . But deer season, duck seasons over , safe ice is hard to come by,
so what better time to pay attention to your significant other. WHAT!!!
Take this opportunity to be as annoying as possible , have her see what its like to have you around all the time.
And when its time to fire up the boat, she just might buy your fishing license, and pack you a lunch.
And never ask, "when will you be home"

Matt, what brand are those spoons and where do you get them ?????
Btw, You think waterfowl season was bad in your neck of the woods , try living in southern PA.

I have a fl18 which has a bottom lock feature which i use for open water on my boat , the transducers for this application are varied depending on your use.
I agree , hard to ice fish without one. I bought one years ago when my kids were little thinking it would be like a video game being able to watch fish marks coming to your bait and get the kids fired up. Flashers also work well setting tip ups using it to lower bait right where you want it, above weeds in weeds or structure etc
