  1. I don't actually have a boat motor yet. Figure might be able to find a boat with fiber glass issues if it would change over. I haven't been able to come up with another used motor or I wouldn't explore this option. Looking for used while I rebuild the block that's in it now. I don't know what the old owner did... Had new pan on the bottom so obviously some lower end work that didn't last... Idk gotta tear it out either way. Just exploring my options.

  2. No one comment so I'll leave a review. If your just starting out, this is a great unit. Traditional mode with scope on is fantastic. Needs an ice ducer so you don't have to mess with it hanging flat. Or bring a stick to wrap the cord so it hangs flat. Not bad unit for $200 and has a flasher mode. After using traditional mode with A-scope on, I wouldn't switch back.

  3. Storing the trash to burn will still put the stink in the air... If you ever been to Waterloo when the wind is blowing out the North... you will know the stink I am talking about. It's hard to want to even shop there knowing that the smell is sneaking in the store every time someone walks in then the particulates are landing on the food that we then consume... 🤔[emoji90]

  4. Just bought a cheap one to get threw my first year. A buddy turned me on to it. When in traditional mode his has a bar on the right that shows like a flasher. How do I get mine to do that in traditional mode. Mine has a flasher mode but it would be able to see flasher and graph chart at the same time. Maybe because mine is a year newer?

  5. That's what some say. Some say October, some say November, some say March. I got a pretty good idea how they move around in the winter months now. Also the dead ones I saw could been from Pike with eyes bigger then their guts. The perch have a lot of marks from Pike strikes.( Dec told me last year that's what it was anyway)

Nick, didn't you just release a bunch Lakers a few years ago? About 3 years ago? We should be seeing those fish being caught soon if they made it?

  6. Last night I checked Sampson out. Water super clear so I stood on the wall looked out as far as I could see.. large dead perch out 20 ft off the wall, two large dead Pike in the marina, dead bull head floating, no bait around, couple dead gills, dead large mouth...

What I did see alive... about 1000 rud... 4 cigar sized perch one 20" Pike... So much for the legendary perch fishing at Sampson [emoji31][emoji379]

  7. Was it a gobie or a sculpin? I don't get gobies perch fishing Seneca. Cayuga you can't fish the bottom without catching 50 gobies. I wouldn't say gobies are an issue anyway. Almost everything eats them. I heard someone saying there was a lack of sawbellies.... That gave me a good laugh... Even with last year's die off there are tons and tons of them. You can see the entire shore line come to life around dark when they come in close to shore.

I been spending a lot of time there the last 3 winter's after hearing about the perch legend... That's what it seems like... A legend.[emoji23]

Like I said before... The Pike are doing well...
