Heading over monday to fish for a couple of days, we are staying at Selkirk shores, where would be the best place to fish for some silver? I'm thinking Oz. deeper water quicker..

At this time of year temp. seems to be the key, a couple years ago I did not have a temp. probe, a boat came in with fish that was out where I was. I talked to them and congrats them on there fish. They told me the down temp. as they had a probe. I went back out and started popping fish.

Does anyone have a problem with wiring the x4 to the fuse box and not directly to the battery? Recently installed an x4 and it powers up and displays boat and probe temp and speed but intermittently turns on and off. It's a pain to run wires to the battery so I was hoping not have to do that.
Thanks for any replies
I would run it with everything else off, and if it don't do that ,yes you have to go to the battery, or if you have a spare
battery bring it along and wire direct for a test, it could be the unit.

Are there any fish turning on yet? I'm heading over with the wife this weekend, I'm not sure weather to fish around Henderson or trailer to OZ. Any replies would help either place.

With all common respect to the brave and successful Fisherman who are dedicated so much that go out regardless of weather. However now I want to discuss a different topic: ignorance and bullying of some guys in our fishing community. While sometimes we all fishing on the lake in the same area, commonly must be effected the rule that we are all the same and being on the water, anything may happen with any of us, so, we all must be attentive to each other and helpful. Instead, some guys act like they own the lake and instead of giving a way to other boats which, “they think†are on their way...this guys start to shout, insult and show fingers.Today at Blue Zone at 11:15 am one of charters on full speed was driving directly to my boat while I was trolling, it was really scary, I honked multiple times without any success and then, right in front of my boat they turned away avoiding collision, but leaving me and my wife in state of shock on a huge wake, having messed up all our lines... However this is not the end of story. While we were going to our slip, passing by that charter, that guys start to cry towards us various insults, show fingers, and one of this bullies even turned around and show his naked butt.At this point, I’ll leave to myself my comments and my further action, just want to put in on discussion at this board. Any thoughts are welcome.
Yes I think you should post the name of this boat, you may not be the only one they have done this to...get their name out there to keep them straight.

Where in or around Henderson can I buy meat for the rigs?
-
I must say I'm very disappointed on the number of fish that smack my flies and are not on very long. I use 4x size 2 spark points with a 5/0 gammy single above it. I'm going to tie some tandem singes up for this weekend.
silverfoxcharters.net
I would be interested to know how this works out for you...

I'm 11for 11 with single hooks in tandem on a fly, where I'm 2 for 5 with a single hook and a treble. and the two with the treble where caught with the single hook and the treble was hooked to nothing but the net. I guess it's time to swap my meat rigs to all singles too.
-
Just wondering, are they getting there yet?
-
I have not lost a fish with single hooks in tandem on a fly, If I have a hookup the fish comes in the boat. But I hear taking out the treble messes up the action any thoughts?

120 foot or so low to mid 40's from 300fow to 140

Fished Thursday and Friday thurs we landed a 12 1/2 lb. atlantic and a 12lb king the only two rods that fired all day. Friday we never had a rod go off. Fleas where pretty much gone. I guess I have to find the fleas to find the fish?

Heading over this weekend, I was going to Oswego but with the harbor fest going on I don't want to put up with that. Where is a good boat launch to get out into that area to the deeper water without having to motor out miles and miles?

Is there a salmon bite on yet?
Release above or below my probe?

I have always ran a blacks release above my probe and I was wondering if it would work below it so one less thing to break loose the probe?
