  1. Friend just lost his golden retriever after 11 years. I really need to find him another but man these are some expensive dogs. Most I found cost over $1500. Hell any mutt cross with a golden might even add to the cost. Lol. I need a purebred male pup. No intention of breeding or hunting so don't care who the dogs grandmother was. Just need a good pet with papers. Will buy now or put deposit on future breeding just not looking for any of the overpriced dogs I've seen recently. Anybody got pups or know of any available now or in the next few months please pm me.

  2. There were people entering from the collage on Sunday. I went in at the pines. Didn't mark any Lakers and only found tiny perch in shallow. Left at noon. First time fishing that lake and won't be back without a machine. Walked out to 80' and should have went deeper. Probably should have just parked at the collage and payed the ticket. Lol

  3. Had a friend out there yesterday. He assured me it's game time this weekend. Everyone be safe and take precautions but the ice is out there if you're cautious and be safe. Im only posting this here. I don't tell Facebook or most people but I like this community here and believe we are a family of true sportsman and your tips have brought me great success on the lake. Hope anyone looking to scratch off a bucket list goal gets out there and returns with many fish. Good luck out there and be safe!

  4. Was out near buffalo so decided to check some ice out there. It's looked good for a few days at least. Walked out quite a ways with my spud bar and auger. Had no poles or flasher so don't know what's out there. Walked out to 35' range off Woodlawn area. Mile + out there. Ice was 6-8" + all the way out. Could have went farther but no poles so no point in walking the extra for me. Next trip out I'll have my gear. Got reports of 4-6" off Hamburg beach 1 mile out and 3-4" off evangola 1/2 mile out. I walked around a few spots that looked sketchy but mostly glare ice the whole lake as far as I could see. Don't go out there if your not sure but it's looking good for those willing to poke there way out there. Hope this snow don't cover it or it blows off. Unless mother nature ruins my plans I'll be out there this weekend.

  5. Just looked everywhere. Nobody I've ever delt with has any in stock. There are a bunch of scam sites that say there in stock but I wouldn't even try most of them. This site seems ok. https://fishntech.com/humminbird_xi_9_1521.html but I never used them before but take Paypal. If they don't work out there are whole kits available at most places still. If you don't have a case and mount for it the kits are around $230-$250 with the case and transducer. Not sure if they come with a battery but I'll tell you these things eat a lot of power. A regular battery won't last a full day. I've got spares for long trips but a lithium would be a good idea if you fish 8+ hrs. Also try to remember to dim the light and try to run a black background on traditional sonar.

  6. Ice was 4". It was the best I've ever done at braddocks. Switched jigs and spoons in every color tipped with waxies or perch eyes. Only 5 on the jig rod. All the other perch and all the jumbos came on tipdowns with fatheads. Tipdowns are deadly on the ponds and I'll out fish almost anyone who don't run them. Mine are homemade.

  7. I fished braddocks. That might have been me you seen. 15 perch 9+.... 30+ dinks.....1 pike 22" or so. Could barely walk on cranbo in a few spots so not sure if the perch are in there. It's not the water level that screwed up the ponds. When the lake levels were high the other year they used machines to block off the channel to keep the water from flooding into the ponds. That's been removed and I'd bet there are perch making there way in there but I don't know for sure.

  8. I had a problem like that on my starcraft. Changed the motor and relays. Switch worked but replaced it and checked the wire 1000 times. Once in a while it worked when jumped. Motor always powered and seemed like everything was ok. One of the cylinders was bad and would fight the other cylinder so it wouldn't go up or down. This was a completely different system than yours tho. Friend changed out the cylinders and worked perfectly. I did not believe it was the cylinders at all and he replaced them when I was gone so I came back to a working boat. First time out after that I blew a hydropic line so if they look old just replace them too. I would try un bolting the rams from the outdrive and see if they move. If not crack the line and see if there is pressure. Like I said my boat was a 68 and the first outdrive ever made so quite different. Somewhere there is a check valve to prevent fluid from returning when the drive is put into reverse so the drive stays locked. If that valve is closed then no fluid is going to circulate thru those lines. Some have that valve in the lift motor and some have it on the shift linkage. That's what I thought was wrong with mine. That valve was locked and preventing the fluid from moving the rams. The rams were my problem but there very different systems. But hopefully you can get this figured out. If the pump runs then it's not a power issue. Check the reverse lockout and the rams.
