  1. Just dropping some updated pics for you guys here...been slow out here big winds flipped the lake last Monday made for hard slow fishing all week trout was all I could find. Had a good morning today tho 10-2 caught 20 fish or so mostly sheephead. Had a nice bass which was different and finally 2 more walleye. Water temps climbing back up pretty quick. Looking back at my last year posts June 28 was my first "good" walleye day out there. Hopefully it repeats! Back to work tomorrow.

Saw some good pics from the tourney this weekend up north. Congratulations to the winners looks like it was a good time.

The double on sheep for the kids was a new experience for them too. Both riggers firedIMG_20200622_174805.jpegIMG_20200622_132301.jpegIMG_20200622_124937.jpegIMG_20200622_121443.jpegIMG_20200622_120837.jpegIMG_20200622_112556.jpegIMG_20200622_111706.jpegIMG_20200622_101711.jpegIMG_20200619_135521.jpegIMG_20200617_213903.jpeg

  2. So in setting up my bow I realized my old style of pins and the hindsight system that had served me so well does not work on the new riser designs. I picked up a HHA Optimizer single pin sight and got her dialed in. So cool the algorithm system that has you shoot at 20 yards then 60 yards to figure out the coinciding sticker to place on sight which then allows you to shoot out to 80 yards by dialing in the site to the known target distance was an epiphany! I have never shot past 40 yards and with the new technology, I was placing 5” groups at 60 yards with junk waste arrows and a crosswind. My eyes have been opened.
And it's funny bc some people will argue that xbow is so much easier to use....they are not that different anymore with the new technology.

But that's a debate that will never end lol

Neighbor shoots the maxim reds seems to have good luck with them. I shoot the pile drivers we both have HTX

  3. Awesome I love my HTX wish I had some more speed tho but it does the job and is forgiving for my poor form and deer fever lol

Matthews htx no cam 60# 28dl shooting carbon express piledrivers with 100 grain fixed blade 1.25 dia cut broadhead...I always keep a junk arrow or 2 and a blunt tip for the bordem lol1476531912513.jpeg

  4. Hey guys been trying to follow your adventures figured I'd post mine here too even tho lake Erie. Hope everyone is staying safe and doing well and starting to try and get some normalcy in their lives back it's been a wild ride so far.

Keeping the boat in North East PA again this summer hope to crush some walleye in few weeks once they get here. Been slow for eyes so far but as usual gambler rigs make the Laker fishing easy! I'll try and keep pictures updated here as the season goes on.

Had a cool encounter with some birds in middle of lake Erie eating the bugs off the boat. Kids thought it was the coolest thing ever landed on rods flew in the cabin and we're just fun to watch.

Thank you to all front line workers and the officers trying to keep the peace. We appreciate you!IMG_20200527_201935.jpegIMG_20200523_161357_01.jpegIMG_20200523_161354_01.jpegIMG_20200523_161301_01.jpegFB_IMG_1589910780747.jpegIMG_20200523_161015_01.jpegIMG_20200523_161018_01.jpeg00000IMG_00000_BURST20200521131216103_COVER.jpegIMG_20200516_153901.jpeg

  5. Ok so boats making the 3hr trip North this week for it's winter home at Mr.Hank's place. Going to fish Saturday if the weather cooperates (cross your fingers for me) where should I start we are coming up Friday after work and staying in Webster willing to fish anywhere within a hour or so from there. Browns are top of my list but wife and friends wife really wanna hook a salmon (, preferably a silver one lol). Looking for any pointers ....No fish hawk yet so going blind lol.

Mine and wife's 7th aniversery this weekend too so if ya got any good idea for a Sunday morning adventure I'm all ears too can't fish both days lol.

I start with 2 out every trip...one on dipsy other on rigger. Guy at camp asked how I was catching Lakers month or so again showed him the rigs and now he's catching them like crazy too. Can only reel in so many eyes before you want to reel in something a little more active lol .

  7. Been awhile figured I'd stop in and say hello. Been trying to log in and read reports once and awhile. Been out fishing Erie again this summer out of northeast pa launch. It's great like everywhere else now if only walleye fought like salmon lol...at least the Lakers like to play . Plan to fish for few more weeks before boat makes its winter trip to Mr.Hank . Then hunting trapping and thinking about spring and getting the boat back out. Pretty wild I never thought I'd prefer to fish over hunt but these days trolling is all I think about all day. Lol....here's some pics from over the summer ....luckily my wife takes some[emoji23]

  8. Hey guys been awhile...getting ready for the season as I'm sure you all are.

I have a brand new in package set of church tx22 pro pack I bought them at the Hamburg show and then ran across a deal on a bunch more of them so don't need these...figured I'd post here before I did anywhere else.

I'd sell for 80$ local or buyer pays shipping and am also planning on attending the watkins Glenn show this Sunday. Hope to see some familiar faces there.

Would consider trading for other gear.

  9. That's ridiculous in my opinion.  Good old State of NY. There will be many more restrictions to  come from Albany concerning our outdoor sports, I'm afraid.
Classes aren't a bad thing. IMO we have enough people who take the classes and still can't follow the general rules.

  10. I trapped years ago. About 20 years since I trapped actually, but i used to do quite a bit of it. I trapped  Fox, and beaver mostly, some coon. Thinking about starting again here in New York for Coyotes around where I deer hunt, since there are many coyote tracks. I guess they make you take a trapping course and all that B.S.?
Yep gotta take course it's either 8 or 10 hr....don't remember. Altho if you ever bought a NY licence you may be able to just go get your licence.

  12. No doubt. My dog's dad, a redbone, got over 8 kennel fences to pollinate the running Walker. She was also a mean girl. She was a coyote chaser.

Apparently i cannot attach pic...not sure why

That's awesome someday I will train from pup to chase yotes but now time is biggest issue....

Mom's mom and dad were both great coon hunters from what I was told. dad ran yotes with experienced dogs a few times and did alright.

  13. Thanks to all , here are a few more more last season . Trapping is very relaxing to me . It's also like Christmas everyday when you check your sets . It's a great way to wind down after work with my son . I also feel so close to nature and God when I am making sets . If you don't trap you should get into it . You will love it . 20181219_165739.thumb.jpeg.55d7f478405f0467ed4abafb7823569d.jpeg20181219_165720.thumb.jpeg.545c8cc07c9bc057fa5d1f8a8e0c3c64.jpeg20181219_165653.thumb.jpeg.9fffd9622fab4b040af7c847eba7c61b.jpeg20181219_165633.thumb.jpeg.b4d2a1cc6b787432fb82793a76160647.jpeg20181219_165454.thumb.jpeg.88957011b7ec34ae0aeb99c21b83e51e.jpeg

Awesome! Something about knowing you got the target animal to step in a 3" circle on the entire planet is a feeling that's hard to explain...but once you feel it your hooked.
