Speaking of trespassers, the encon officer called me today, said he finally made contact and will be giving summons tomorrow and getting me the court date. Then he let me know that the guy said he had called the troopers and wanted me arrested for harassment. I called the troopers and sheriff's, to find out he did in fact call and the cop told me this guy was "cop shopping" and he could tell the guy was just reaching to try any form of retaliation against me. Cops didn't buy it and didn't bother to reach out to me. Also he mentioned to the police that the property wasn't posted correctly and he had a witness that saw my dad putting up signs the day after I busted him.... Lol. Yes, we were legal and yes my father added another few signs to the 35 that were already there and also very easy to see in my video. This guy has balls, and I hope they get broken by the judge !

Just went through the same ordeal the other day, thankfully this idiot didn't kill anything, but what a PIA it was to do it "the right way" so we could press charges. Lots of time on the phone with the DEC, and finally got him. I will attach a YouTube video of the encounter, and you will see this blabbering idiot for yourselves. Had him on cam about 100 yards from the stand my dad was in, smack dab in the middle of the property. Hopefully he learns his lesson as I heard from the neighbors he's been trespassing for years.

No, I did not use a 50bmg. Savage 308 / Hornady 165gr SST. I'm pretty sure it was an exploding round.

I do have to say, I laughed when you hooked that first eye. I've watched all the king and steel under water footage and it's a disaster to watch after one is hooked, yet the leather boot walleye allows for a wonderful video from hookset to cooler.

Greetings from Kansas. Interesting day today. I tagged out walking to my tree stand one hour into the first hunt. Big 9 pointer 

Off since Sunday, hunted every day and haven’t seen much. This buck came running through at seven and hung up north of me. I grunted and can called at him and he looped around back behind me. I could hear him grunting so I kept grunting back. He came quartering towards me at thirty and I drew back.
I stopped him but didn’t have a shot. He moved forward and I stopped him again.
Sharp quartering away angle, aimed just ahead of his hip. Quick shot.
Let him sit an hour and went to look.
Not a ton of blood at first but found two thirds of the shaft and tip and a little further up the rest of the shaft and fletching. They looked great and shortly thereafter we found the deer.
Certainly not a giant but I’m pumped to get him. Have worked hard the last six days and am looking forward to a couple days off before heading back to work.

Able to score my first bday buck in 26 years of hunting. 11/1/19 will be a day I never forget and it's not about the inches of the rack. My son (5yr old) led the tracking job and is a natural born bloodhound. Led me and my dad right to him. Was a great bday party in the woods !!!

Anything in particular you need to wire ? I had to do alot of testing when I rewired mine.

Ugh. Tough to describe the feeling when you finally put your hands on a deer like that in that scenario. Meat was donated, but you now have that head forever and will be something to share around the campfire. I admire your persistence !

 
We fought the wind this weekend and landed our first Chautauqua musky! Not a big one, but felt good!
