  1. They are actually on my call list for today. They are described to have honeycomb under the hatch for strength and mine do not. They do feel very solid and I have them the step-on test, but I need to make sure they will not break under pressure as they will definitely get stepped on by folks much heavier than myself. 2. Direct from tempress. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Solid reports are hard to come by, but tips and tricks are readily available. Can't expect guys that earn a living to just let you borrow the boat and tackle box. Learning on the water for me is a blast. I love having a good "idea" about what I'm doing but without LOU I'd still be out there trying ! I joined here and lakeO last year. I'm definitely a rookie but will always share my reports. Some prob read and laugh, maybe somebody tries my program and gets the biggest fish of their life ! Who knows. I didn't take the OP post as a flame but I do think figuring the game out on your own is also a big accomplishment. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I've got over 125 new toys to make memories with.... Chomping at the bit to get my boy out for his break in on ladyO. I never met your friend, but I can guarantee the memory lives on, and the nymphO is forever in debt to him. Tight lines my man !!! Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Thanks ! For the rails I'm going to use a piece of 1x azek with foam and wrap it with the nautolex vinyl. Finding he buttons I want has been hard so I might settle for what's available local. It's hard for a redneck like myself to spend too much time in JoAnn fabrics. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. It's not for a lack of effort ! Lots of info and tactics shared on LOU is my biggest advantage !!! Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Midnight oil.... Again. Bow seating in. Panels in. Now to mount hatches. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Thanks! If anything it was a solid performance by the offshore boards. Should have shot some footage for the durability testing Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Up against a heavy s/SW wind we did ok. Started west of piers and trolled in 8fow to keg, picked up 2 and 1 miss. Water temp dropped from 35-36 to 34 near keg so took it back down west of piers and didn't have any luck since the ice line was keeping us in 10-12fow. My friend decided he wouldn't let the ice keep us from the fish. Literally ran through the ice and picked up a quick 5 right in the middle of it. Cabela's flat side diver in bright colors was on fire. Was clipping on a board and felt a tug, ended up setting the hook by hand and reeling a decent fish in who had a hook already in his mouth. Pretty cool way to catch one ! Was our slowest run yet,but far from skunked ! Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Thank you !! And as a side note, I will not be opening up a side business ! Lol. Went back tonight, carpeted all the individual panels for the bow / kick area and layed the vinyl on the seating portion. Gonna let the vinyl sit and dry then pull backside tight and staple. I did all these panels so I could access that area for batteries and storage. Only one pic as I wanted to scoot as soon as I was done. Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Some pics of wrapped counsels and bow Sent from my XT1650 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Did some quick tinkering last night. Cut the panel where controls go and also to keep things similar I cut one for the other side. Cut new shelves for under counsels. Bow piece will be dry tonight and depending on how long my son's first tee ball practice goes I may do some wrapping. Can't stay too late as I have a hot date with ladyO in the am !!
