  1. Hey Mike,

nice work and thanks for the report.

i’m from Lake ariel,pa. Usually do weekend trips out of mexico state launch. Usually sleep on the boat. I’m on a waiting list for next avaible campsite at salmon country.  I really like the atmosphere there.  Great people and all longterm, diehard fisherman. Do you have a campsite at catfish? Just wondering how the area is there. Heard second hand theres alot of riff raff and partying goin on there With all the rentals and short term residents.  Just in case I can’t get into salmon country next year i may inquire there.

  3. My fiance is a mechanic at scranton dodge and I’m a jack of all trades/master of nothin.  Lol.  She knows diesel engines and newer gas engines and i am handy with a wrench so between us we should be able to get this thing figured out. I appreciate all the feedback. Gonna do a full tune up(wires, plugs, rotor, distributor cap) new fuel pump and new fuel filter. I couldn’t get the boat started yeaterday cause the filter was loose and suckin air so after I tightened it up it fired up.  Definetly seems to be a fuel issue.  Thanks again fellas

  4. Lookin for a direction to start diagnosing my problem.  I have a 1986 trophy 2460 and my past trip to Lake Ontario in june it felt as if it was boogin down on my way him. So with my honeymoon and a 4 day trip to mexico comin up at the end of august i took it out on lake wallenpaupck to see if it was gonna boog down at high rpm’s.

It runs great at low rpms/trolling speed but when i speed up to over 1500rpms it starts cutting in and out.  Any ideas where to start? Carburetor cleaning? Distriberator?plugs wires?

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Coming up near the end of August and staying in Pulaski for a few days. Where is the best spot to launch with a 21ft deep V boat? Willing to travel and pay for a nice launch.

    Never been to the area.

    Thanks!

My fiance and I always launch from mexico with my 25ft Trophy.  Really nice launch.Theres been weekends we bought an overnight pass and tied the boat to dock overnight and slept on it.  Aug25-Aug29 we rented a lakefront cottage to spend our honeymoon salmon fishing.  If your gonna be up there on them dates shot me a PM or gimme a yell on 68 boat name “Northbound”.   I’m more then happy to share information

  6. Well another weekend trip in the books.  Saturday i went 2/5 and two were break offs due to equipment failure. I hardly marked but did see some bait pods here and there. I got my first experience with the madness off copper when it gets entangled with 3 dipseys.  That was the end of fishing last night.  Today 0/0. Hardly marked any fish and only seen bait once or twice fished from 5am to 10:00. Seemed like the story with everyone else i spoke to
