Interested in the 2 6" tracks....where are you located? Will you ship?
I'm in Rochester NY - I could ship - you'd have to pay for shipping.

Upgrading my Traxtech to 5' models so I have the two other sets for sale.
2x 6" tracks - $452x 24" tracks with end caps - $85
Minn Kota Endura 55lb Transom Mount motor - SOLD

I think I'm going to reinforce the Traxtech rails with the aluminum they sell for that purpose and just mount them on the rails. Thanks guys

Hey all - just bought a 16' Tracker - and before I mount my Traxtech rails - I'm wondering if I'll have room / where to mount downriggers.
Can I mount them someplace on the Traxtech rails? Is there a better location? On the rails I'll have a Cannon rod holder on each side and a couple of Fat AZ rod holders.
What will I need to mount them? I don't have a set yet, going to pick up sometime this winter.

Nice job!

Would do $1200 for the boat & trailer without the fish finder. The trailer alone is worth quite a bit - completely rebuilt and way heavier duty than was needed for this boat. Also consider trades for a 9.9 kicker motor.

Florida boat ? Been in salt water ? Buyer beware !
8k budget ? 18 ft Aluminum will do what you want , pick your days on Lake Ontario ! If you can find a 19 ft. Lund at your price buy it !
Yes, 1-2' on Ontario is all I'm looking for, finger lakes for the rest. 18-19' aluminum will be perfect.

The one that is closed? It is nice - no trailer though - and can’t see how you could use that to cast for musky

*edit* budget is 8k.
Hey all, finally ready to upgrade to a newer/bigger boat. I'm in no rush, as well, it's October but I do want something by the spring.Probably wanting to go aluminum deep V - 18' or larger, but open to other suggestions/offers. Looking for something that can handle Lake O for salmon and trout on the days that weather / waves permit but still trailer to finger lakes for musky/trout/pike and bass.
Budget is 8k. I take care of my gear, and don't want a project boat or something that's been left out in the elements uncovered.
We troll probably 70% of the time so I do want downriggers or the option to install them.
No need for any family tubing boat - wife gets motion sick so it's usually my brother and myself - maybe one other person.
Thanks in advance!

Going to bump up my budget to 10-14k - 18' or larger if I can.

Solid boat in your price range. Deep enough for the big lake, they make swing-a-way trailer tongue kits you can install that will save you an extra foot or two and maybe fit in the garage.I went today and had a look - thinking about it- it wasn't covered while stored outside so it was a bit rougher inside than I wanted. Very nice guy though

16' Marathon Duranautic. I've owned it for two years.Brand new seats, year old batteries, new 12 gallon fuel tank & fuel line. Motor is a 82 Johnson 50HP. Had lower unit seals and impeller replaced this year along with new spark plugs and wires.Motor is leaking a little oil, I was told it needs a new gasket or a seal - I'm not a mechanic and am upgrading to something bigger. The motor still runs fine, starts right up and does 23mph with 2 people on board. The trailer is a Load Rite trailer that has everything new on it. New tires, new spare tire, new lights & wiring, new winch, new safety chains, new tongue jack, new coupler and a swing arm so you can fit it in your garage. - Trailer is probably worth at least $1000 on it's own.

Its all about trade off's. Cannot see the difference in launching a 17' aluminum boat vs a 19' . Had a 26' Stamas that I fished musky's for a decade on the upper Niagara never had trouble leaving them in the water and releasing them with higher gunwales than the 19 listed here. If I thought I was going to hit up O once in a while I would go with the 19' all day long. Sounds like you talking yourself into a smaller boat, not many people do that unless there is a HP restriction on there main lake. Bigger is always better and with the proper net the musky will swim away , there hearty fish. I can't remember one of our 500 or so of catches that ever went belly up and that was before the days of bogo gripping them with a long rope to increase the survival rate.. Good luck with your search !
good points. I think what I’ve been looking at is what I can get for 12k. Newer smaller boat or older 19-20. That’s what’s making me lean toward the smaller one is I don’t want another problem with a motor -

There is a 99 StarCraft Superfisherman with for sale on this site ,has a kicker , no idea what length it is. Page 3 , looks to be in decent shape. Other than that hit up craigslist and widen your search to how far your willing to travel. Erie , Watertown ,Syracuse ,Albany , Buffalo ect.
I was just looking at that Starcraft and other posts online - seems like a great boat for Ontario salmon - my concern would be that I fish Waneta alot for musky - and with the high gunwales making it hard to net and unhook a fish while it's in the water - not to mention the smaller launch at Waneta.
Boat will spend probably most of it's life at Waneta/Chataqua/Canandaguia and sometimes Ontario.
Would a smaller boat be better for those smaller lakes? (easier to launch and reach over the boat to lip/unhook musky)

What length is this boat?

I would get the biggest boat that my tow vehicle could handle or at least a 21 ' .There are barns/storage places all over reasonably priced for a set up like that. Myself, I would keep it in the driveway with a good winter cover and be done with it. Nice to have it close by to work on. The garage limits you to a smaller boat which you probably will out grow . I would rather have more room in my boat than going smaller so I could store it in the garage.
Not sure what I would be able to find for 10-12k in that size that was nice - was thinking tracker targa 19 but they are more expensive. Suggestions? Remember - primarily is musky fishing -
Well since I just got an ok for a newer boat from the wife I’m going to put the wire back on my Tetkota 600s and 80# braid on Saltists 20s for musky.
Gonna buy something more capable of Ontario when it’s nice. -
If it was you guys would you - get a larger boat and store in the driveway - or something that fits in the garage?
I'm leaning towards garage just because I like to keep my stuff nice, but if a good deal came up..

I have a Raymarine Dragonfly Pro 7 - nice unit, no sidescan. Love to go 9" - but for the price the Dragonfly was good.
