Torpedo divers are very kayak friendly. 4 and 8 oz versions. Dipsies aren’t great with a kayak in my opinion. Your speed varies so much.

Niiiiice boat. We were the white and blue glastron that waved around noon heading in! (my exact words to peter were that’s my dream boat) how did you do?
Thanks, Wasn’t our best day a couple average size lakers. I cast a wide spread mostly spoons. Various depths and style presentation. Nothing really popped such is life.

Yeah joe, that’s why I didn’t fish long, got a late start after breakfast at Dugan’s and the few I hooked short hit and came of the minute they jumped....Saturday was just one of those epic days. the last spot I saw you when you cut back in from your north troll has been hot, just keep that in mind for the next time your out. The fish moved to that area about 2 weeks ago after that high water, that’s the place to focus on as the lower points have slowed down a bit.
I will definitely remember that. Try to switch gears to river fishing at some point. The little miss is 13 and wants to fight a salmon.

Nicely done as always. We were off on Sunday not sure why. Covered lots of water and varied speeds just never found a sweet spot.

Great job! I saw the pack on Sunday I was out trolling with the family. My big camo boat stuck out like a sore thumb Lol

People are launching but it’s iffy. Lot of current also I believe there is still a no wake order by the sheriffs.

Last time I caught LLs in Owasco was mid 90s. Growing up Bows,Browns and LL were about the only things I’d catch.

Great report. I got on the lake and trolled from 4:30 till 6 pm. Lake was nice. No hits. Tried a couple different spoons on my dipsys. 2.3 to 2.6 with a few turns mixed in. Had marks but not enough time. Had to go back in for dinner.
Maybe later today.
At one point they were stacked on the graph like firewood. Changed speeds and direction. Raised other baits up. They just had lockjaw for some reason or another.

Worst you can do is get skunked. I’ve fished and lived on Owasco since birth. Been skunked plenty in the daytime

I’ve done it with my little 14’ tiller boat. Just two rods flatlined with deep diving baits and weight added. Caught bows and walleye at different times. Not great but something to do

Those weed mats gave me some mess. Managed to get a pump handle off a board, wrapped with a rigger rod and a copper.
Fun weekend but not my most productive.

Great job!!
We had a hard time with them this weekend. They didn’t seem to want anything I offered.

Great job as always. I saw that bow putting on a show! We were stuck in laker land. High, low, fast, slow it was laker after laker.
Dropped of the fishing partner at 1 and picked up the girls. Swimming and tubing.

I ran them today off OR 37 boards. Caught a couple silvers. Running the spoon 100 back then the 8oz shark 90 foot then the board. It worked ok. I’m going to attempt this off my big boards next time out

I find many times I fish the steep changes in depth closer to shore.

I bought the 4 pack of musky and shark and have added them to my arsenal with a lot of luck!
I run either of them with the church tx-44 with really good results! 200 back on the shark gets me down about 50 feet. I like to run the shark with 100 feet out and snap on the weight and then back about 200 then clip on the board! This setup has given me the most luck with either a flasher fly or spoon!
I have run cowbells with the musky down the slot and also have had alot of luck! I also use the krazywolf heavy tension releases with no failures for the snap weight.
Thanks for the info. I picked up 2 Shark and 2 Musky. Probably start to experiment this week. I really like the versatility they seem to offer. Target any depth without switching rods constantly.
Are you running them on Braid or Mono? I have braid rods setup on board. Wouldn’t mind using 40# big game or maybe sea flea. If I could get to depth

I’ve caught pike but never really targeted them in Owasco. Caught a monster last year trolling at 60 down.

So a fella comes ripping into the launch with an enormous speed boat on the trailer. Lifted truck, loud exhaust, dust flying, music blasting.
Cuts in front of several people including myself. Anyhow Captain Spray tan and his trophy lady emerge from the truck. Proceed to get ready in the ramp.
He hands her two short line’s maybe 15’ on a 30 plus foot boat. In the truck he goes engine reving backs it in. Performs the I’m awesome brake stab. Apparently not looking back at all. Slams it in drive and guns up the ramp. Surprise surprise the boat only half cleared the bunks!! Miss Marlboro 1990 she strained trying to hold the two short lines. Yelling as he ripped her from the dock (Unharmed) into the drink.
Of course he can’t hear over his screaming music and loud pipes. Those twin high dollar drives dragging up the concrete ramp along with the hull from mid ships back.
Tough pulling the Miss out of the water while keeping a straight face.
Love a good trip to the launch!!
