  1. So a fella comes ripping into the launch with an enormous speed boat on the trailer. Lifted truck, loud exhaust, dust flying, music blasting. Cuts in front of several people including myself. Anyhow Captain Spray tan and his trophy lady emerge from the truck. Proceed to get ready in the ramp. He hands her two short line’s maybe 15’ on a 30 plus foot boat. In the truck he goes engine reving backs it in. Performs the I’m awesome brake stab. Apparently not looking back at all. Slams it in drive and guns up the ramp. Surprise surprise the boat only half cleared the bunks!! Miss Marlboro 1990 she strained trying to hold the two short lines. Yelling as he ripped her from the dock (Unharmed) into the drink. Of course he can’t hear over his screaming music and loud pipes. Those twin high dollar drives dragging up the concrete ramp along with the hull from mid ships back. Tough pulling the Miss out of the water while keeping a straight face. Love a good trip to the launch!!
  2. Torpedo divers are very kayak friendly. 4 and 8 oz versions. Dipsies aren’t great with a kayak in my opinion. Your speed varies so much.
  3. Thanks, Wasn’t our best day a couple average size lakers. I cast a wide spread mostly spoons. Various depths and style presentation. Nothing really popped such is life.
  4. I will definitely remember that. Try to switch gears to river fishing at some point. The little miss is 13 and wants to fight a salmon.
  5. Nicely done as always. We were off on Sunday not sure why. Covered lots of water and varied speeds just never found a sweet spot.
  6. Great job! I saw the pack on Sunday I was out trolling with the family. My big camo boat stuck out like a sore thumb Lol
  7. People are launching but it’s iffy. Lot of current also I believe there is still a no wake order by the sheriffs. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Last time I caught LLs in Owasco was mid 90s. Growing up Bows,Browns and LL were about the only things I’d catch. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. At one point they were stacked on the graph like firewood. Changed speeds and direction. Raised other baits up. They just had lockjaw for some reason or another. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Awesome!! I couldn’t go Saturday, Sunday we couldn’t buy a bite. Not sure what was up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. That’s awesome thanks for sharing. Trolling for tiger’s is definitely on my to do list. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Worst you can do is get skunked. I’ve fished and lived on Owasco since birth. Been skunked plenty in the daytime Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. I’ve done it with my little 14’ tiller boat. Just two rods flatlined with deep diving baits and weight added. Caught bows and walleye at different times. Not great but something to do Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Those weed mats gave me some mess. Managed to get a pump handle off a board, wrapped with a rigger rod and a copper. Fun weekend but not my most productive. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Great job!! We had a hard time with them this weekend. They didn’t seem to want anything I offered. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Great job as always. I saw that bow putting on a show! We were stuck in laker land. High, low, fast, slow it was laker after laker. Dropped of the fishing partner at 1 and picked up the girls. Swimming and tubing. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Nice we couldn’t seem to buy a rainbow yesterday. Lakers everywhere though weird stuff Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Nice job! I was itching to go but the home farm needed some attention. Next weekend Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I ran them today off OR 37 boards. Caught a couple silvers. Running the spoon 100 back then the 8oz shark 90 foot then the board. It worked ok. I’m going to attempt this off my big boards next time out Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I find many times I fish the steep changes in depth closer to shore. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Here’s one from last Sunday Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Thanks for the info. I picked up 2 Shark and 2 Musky. Probably start to experiment this week. I really like the versatility they seem to offer. Target any depth without switching rods constantly. Are you running them on Braid or Mono? I have braid rods setup on board. Wouldn’t mind using 40# big game or maybe sea flea. If I could get to depth Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. I’ve caught pike but never really targeted them in Owasco. Caught a monster last year trolling at 60 down. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
