Congrats Ryan, Yesterday was very good today was fantastic! We couldn’t keep all the lines in the water. Brown’s, Bows, Lakers and Walleye all in the same zone. 28” eye at 7.8lbs put the icing on the cake. Pretty cool all right where I’ve been fishing since I could walk.

We picked up quite a few big Lakers up high. Lost two really nice bows at the back of the boat. Had something on a dipsy 45 down on a green spoon, fought like a king for 5 minutes never saw it and it was gone.

Pretty good morning my buddy had never trolled before. I think he’s hooked!

Definitely adding copper rod’s!

Anyone ever mess with torpedo divers on the finger lakes? I was watching a some of Russ Gahagans salmon videos. He refers to them as pump handles. Running them off inline boards looks interesting.

How's the eye bite been this year Camo Joe and Lyk2fish? I plan to be on the lake in August again. 

Thanks for the info. I may try it like that just run the lead core off the boards. I tend to do decent on the dipsey with chinook divers. Hardly have luck with cores. My buddy loves to use romar releases and stack riggers. That drives me nuts.

Do you ever run the copper off boards? I’d like to run copper and cores off the sides but I’m guessing I’d need multiple lengths.

Excellent looks like a great day! We hit Ontario at 6 am. Daughter landed some nice Coho. The Mrs got a little green from the swell. So we went home for a bit then headed to Owasco. Caught some evening lakers. Stayed to cruise and watch fireworks.

Sounds like I need to get into coppers! It’s always hit or miss on silvers with riggers and dipseys for me.

I really prefer big boards. Tried offshore and church in lines and didn’t care for the. Just personal preference.

Divers I really like #2 an #4 chinooks. Normal dipsey are good just a little bulky on the retrieve

Thinking of trying my hand trolling for Tigers on Otisco and Heading to the St Lawrence. Never caught a musky and definitely never caught one trolling. I’m setup decent for trout and salmon. This is something new to me I’d like to try.

Where might a fella look for information to get started? Do many have success trolling for them??

Good to see some had a great season. We had alot of fun with friends. The hunting itself wasn't so hot. Always a day late it seemed.

The eastern Fingerlakes was tough hunters out numbered birds. Plates from every state in the launch.

Dog?? Tracking?? What breed? I train DDs myself. Don't do much bloodwork but have and trained for it.

The bait is as thick as I've ever seen it on Owasco, crazy but those eyes we caught were in 165 fow. There is lots of room for more predators on that lake and Seneca.. Glad not to see any lamprey, where as Seneca is filthy with them. Balance is key, each will cycle though..
I'm gonna make a point to hit Otisco this year for eyes..

Metal carports can be had fairly reasonable that would be my first choice.
I've used a garage in a box from TSC . Worked fine if you brushed snow off every so often.
One boat has a 2x4 frame with a tarp cover.

Having multiple boats they won't all fit in my barn.

Nicely done! I'm loving seeing the silvers making a comeback. I'd gotten to a point I couldn't find anything but lakers.

We fished Sunday and Monday with pretty solid results. Need to modify my equipment some. Weighted lines seem to be the ticket.

Stix I believe your right. I may play with weighted lines on planer board.Really interested in trying weighted steel.

Might even experiment with wingers on riggers.

Yup that was us in the launch. We launched at the south end today. Kept fighting fish so we stayed north. End up pulling out at the north end save the little guy from the rough stuff.

Somewhat ashamed I've grown up on Owasco, still own the family camp there and have never landed an eye on the little O. Well today on a rather bumpy wind we got it done!! With the help of my buddies son. Waited to get the boat on the trailer for a picture. 24" 4.9 lbs Not a record but I'll take it.

What type of rods are fellas using for Fingerlakes trout. Especially with dipsey divers?

I have Okuma white diamonds with wire and Cold Water reels on the boat. Standard and Mag divers.

Looking to feel more fight in my Fingerlakes fish. Just grabbed some chinook divers to experiment with. Wouldn't mind finding a lighter rod an reel setup.

Growing up I used 9' light spinning rods on owasco with manual riggers. That added alot of excitement to fighting fish.

Smelting man I miss that! Spring trout in front of camp practically swarming me lures. Now the weeds are crazy. Snorkeling out front a week ago it was like being in a different lake.

Two weeks ago we doubled with these two south of Dean's. Sunday morning we caught several nice bows despite the bumpy ride.

I believe they do spawn. We have seen them in several local streams actually.

Amazing how things have changed in Owasco just in my lifetime.
