    I put a new Scotty snubber between fishhawk and 12lb weight today, down to 60 ft , and snubber broke on the leader ...bbye weight and a good flasher. Back to steel breakaway cable .

    I have a new (2 week old) Mag 10, I love it but , I did compare wire to to my very old Cannon, still 7 strand but the old has a straight core and more than double the twist rate per inch. Never had a break on old one , did cut and retie several times due to kinks in 20 or more years. The new wire seams a bit stiffer as well. I agree on the quick stop is a bit much, could have dialed it back to 200 ft per minute. Snubber to weight (12 lbs) helped the jerky stop.
