  1. I was sitting her today cleaning and putting new hooks on some of my sticks. When it occurred to me that I have way too many sticks and not enough hooks to go around, so how about a little help here? I did notice this though I have mostly Challenger stickbaits.

What are you favorite stick baits color and size?

What’s the target for those sticks?

    YOUR BOAT LOOKS THIRSTY!!

Had mine in the drive way for about 2 weeks now. sanded down & refinished all the wood on her from bow to stern to include the steering wheel. Cleaned up the electrical wires and connections. Took off the old NY reg. #'s and put on new. Ordered new seats from boatseatsonline.com, of course mine had to be special order much taller than normal seats and 21" wide. My uncle Bill is making new gunnel walls out of treated wood and carpet, ready to go on this weekend.

Hope to have her @ dock next weekend.

  3. Back in the mid 80’s I was fishing with Catch A Buzz Charters (Chic Streb). He was working on one of the motors while we were trolling. He was in bad mood and crushing his knuckles with a wrench was the last straw. Next thing we know he’s throwing this spaghetti pot with a loop handle overboard because it was in his way!! More than 2 hours latter a rod pops and the fight is on for Chic. The line was back and forth in the water. Drag going out the whole nine yards. Yep you guessed it SPAGHETTI POT

Another time this steel head hit two lures on two different rods both hooked in the mouth. We boated the fish.

If you dock or launch out of I-Bay, the river or anywhere close give me a shout on the VHF, channel 8 most of the time. I have two vhf's on board so I should answer.

Also I would like to know if anyone else on this board docks @ Mayers????

Yes this garmin unit work. This is what guides the auto pilot.

Interfaces: NMEA 0183 and RTCM 104 DGPS corrections and outputs

    http://www.garmin.com/products/gpsmap168s/spec.html

The NMEA 0183 Interface Standard defines electrical signal requirements, data transmission protocol and time, and specific sentence formats for a 4800-baud serial data bus. Each bus may have only one talker but many listeners.

NMEA 0183 (or NMEA for short) is a combined electrical and data specification for communication between marine electronic devices such as depth finders, navigation instruments, and GPS receivers. It has been defined by, and is controlled by, the US based National Marine Electronics Association. It is also commonly used for GPS receivers other than on board boats.

The NMEA 0183 standard uses a simple ASCII, serial communications protocol that defines how data is transmitted in a "sentence" from one "talker" to one or more "listeners". The standard also defines the contents of each sentence (message) type so that all listeners can parse messages accurately.

I have a Raymarine Sport Pilot Plus unit on my boat and I love it. I also interfaced with a garmin GPS .
