  1. Ive heard you can use pledge. The vinyl on my boat is isinglasses . Thick and expensive. I keep my paws off it if I have sunscreen on them or even smellyjelly. Its plastic and I dont think I would use pledge on the dash of my pickup.

  2. Ill trade,I like cutting the trees down but Ive had more than my share of knee deep mud to fight.

As far as the bikinis go ,you just throw em back. When you get my age the women you want you cant have ,the ones you can have you don't want.

The NYC boatshow is around the first of the yr at the Javits center Im going

Hey take some pictures, share the pain..We are waiting for a report.

  3. Old cutbait is a little late getting this in but I bought the 10 ft 6 in. Okuma roller rods .I run dodger flys constantly off them .Best speed control ever. You can see the rod tips bounce with the dodgers.

The big drawback is you need a lot of room in the back of the boat to land fish. Another plus is you get your junk farther back from the dipsey.I run my stuff 9ft back.

I got mine from a ebay store [brettsonthebay] I think it was around 100bucks for the pair.

Yea the heartlands worked well to, Ive got a pair. But the 10ft 6in rods handle the vicious strikes mated with the tekota reels better. Just plain smoother.....

  4. Jax Ill probably be heading up to Cayuga this Sunday. If the weather cooperates. It will be my 6th Sunday In a row fishing.Ill take some rodholder pictures.Ive got like 26 rodholders on the boat.... Looks like a porcupine.

And still in the panic of a couple fish on and one in the net I find myself short on where to put the rod to get it out of the way.

  5. Wow lots of responses. Its amazing to me what works in different areas of the lake.Im located about 6 miles west of Sodus pt. We generally are fishing clear water and awalys on the lookout for a patch of green water. There are no major rivers or tribs flowing into the lake in our area. Great bow and brn trout water though. Lots of rocks humps and points.

Its funny because in late Aug when I started pullin meat riggs first one out was the purple 3 fly rigg never did a fish on it and it got a lot of time in the water. It was a whole different story for the 3 fly glow riggs though.

Green awalys had been a great color up until this yr. What had worked in yrs past just would not go this yr.

Evil I Dont you launch at bear creek? Just a few miles west of me.

  6. On the last board we had a discussion on best lures colors etc. One of my best colors last yr was purple . Was I the only one having luck with this color? Even on bright sunny days I needed purple down. My best steelie last yr came on purple glow R&R. in bright sun with blue sky. My best salmon came on blk and purple also.lPurple flys were good also. I couldnt get green going till Sept. I loaded up with orange this yr. just to have it die in the water.

  7. Its that time of year again and I hate not being able to see. Last year I bought PLEXUS spray online to clean and condition my vinyl boatwindows. It worked great fixed minor scratches and easy on and off. I just take a sunday afternoon bring them in the house and polish em up. Just google plexus and it comes to your door. Its what the military uses if its good enough for them its good enough for me.

  8. Berts handle the 10ft wire rods with dipseys just fine. I dont worry about a salmon rip breaking a rodholder. Best thing is is you can stand them up when you get a fish on you dont have to lean over the side of the boat to get the rod out.
