Where are you fishing out.....the river again? I think we all need to sit down to a nice dinner one of those nights!
I'm going to have to leave this one alone!

The Niagara has a good run of smelt. I have not done it but hear it is good.
-
Stick with the regular cowbells. I have tried the verticles and they do not work as good. They do catch fish but not nearly as fast as the inlines.

Here is a picture from another site. This picture was taken on the 5th of April.

Rick,
You should have the blacks release above the probe.
-
Just imagine the contaminent levels in that fish.

Lineguy,
From what I hear (it will be my first year at Sandy), everyone is willing to work together to catch fish at Sandy. Feel free to ask for help on the radio. My boat name is Escape.

I was wondering what everyone recommended for motor oil. What weight and brand. I have a 230 horse mercruiser motor in my boat. I can't remember off hand what weight oilI used last season. I will have to look in my garage.

Whats wrong with them eating bass? Bass are another fish that are junk fish and have no food value

btfc1752,
I have some of the Luhr Jenson blades. They have a lot of drag. I would buy the Hammerhead or S&S blades (if you can find them). If you can't find Hammerheads in your area, shoot me a PM and I will help you find some. I have not seen the S&S blades in years. Good luck.

I was told that the wind ferry club is going to dredge the channel this year. Hopefully they get it done early.

Everything is sold.

I have run these before. In my opinion, the regular ones work better. Yes I know it is a pain in the butt to reel in the fish with all the gear but you have to go with what works the best. I do think they would work good for bringing kings into your spread.

These reels are sold!

1.reel on the wire then take it to the lake and put a 1 lb ball or weight and let all of the wire out(make sure the wire is on the spool so it won't come off )then reel it back in and that shoud put it on nice and tight.
I do something slightly different. The only thing I do different is use a dipsey that is released. Let all of the wire out and reel it back in.

One thing to watch with the Scotty's is the clutch lever. If they are mounted at the right hight and you hit the button to bring the ball up, It can hit you in the nuggets. I had this happen on a buddies boat. Me personally I do not like the Scotty's. I'm a firm believer in you pay for what you get. I have 4 Cannons on my boat (2 mag 20's and 2 mag 15's). The are super fast and reliabe. I don't like the fact that the Scotty's are belt driven. What do you do if a belt breaks? Another thing is the auto stop on the Scotty's. You have to place beeds on the cable. If you get weeds in the beeds, it will break the antena on your Moor subtroll (if you run the subtroll). The cannons auto stop without stupid beeds on your cable. I'm also a firm beliver in the positive ion control.

Does anyone else keep getting an error message stating: Invalid session please resubmit?

The reels and the 10' rod are sold.

They have some at the NK sale. Try Northern King sale. Check it out at northernkinglures.com.

I made it over to the NK sale today. What a deal on spoons. The spoons w/o hooks were $1.50 and the spoons w/ hooks were $1.75. They had every size spoon out. I baught 4d's, 28's, mags, and M-80's. They also had a bunch of overstock tapes. I ended up buying 44 new spoons. There were 2 guys there that drove all the way from Ottawa Canada for the sale. I highly recommend getting there A.S.A.P.

Barnacle,
I'm selling 2 Accudepth 47lc's. They are different than the SG47LC's. I have 2 SG27LC's for sale in a different post. If you are interested, e-mail at [email protected].

I have 2 Diawa SG27LC's for sale. Both reels in great condition. Asking $65 each or both for $120.
LOCAL DELIVERY OR PICK UP ONLY!

You might want to put hooks on that flasher. Kings have been caught on NK M80's and they are bigger than that flasher.
